Scandal’s first season was only 7 episodes. It was far from syndication. If this season averages in the mid to low 2s with all the hype, it will certainly drop down in its 4th season once the hype bad possible backlash begins. Ergo, making a 5th season highly doubtful.

  • chloe

@candy I don’t think it will end on season 4 I can see going like 8 seasons because of the new ABC flop shows and ABC will focus on giving OUAT,Revenge and scandal go as long because critics like those 3 shows.

  • Candy

It’s guarunteed a 4th season, which will bring the episode count 74. It will only need 14 episodes to get to the 88 episode number, which’ll get in a 5th season. Following?

so patrick cbs should base it schedule on 1 night that’s Halloween a nfl game the voice. what about the ratings when no nfl and no voice, those don’t count right. when will this jealousy of cbs end

“Scandal’s first season was only 7 episodes. It was far from syndication.”

I believe Scandal already has a syndication deal with BET

and like I said a possible game 7

  • david

Wow! TVD went up 2 points. Thats great for the show and Reign i will wait another week or 2 to see how it does. NBC seems to be steady from last week but not good because they are steady really low.

  • Nathan

Rob, and how many seasons will Revenge last? 10? You are DELUSIONAL…the funny thing is this is the most active you’ve been in a while. Don’t worry about Scandals ratings boo, they’re fine, now Revenge is a different story. I hope that show drops below a 1.0 by the spring so ABC can just cancel it! :D TRASH compared to Scandal and Grey’s.

nasir yes scandal has been syndicated so renewal is certain now it just a matter of how many episodes there are

  • HeadlessHorseman (formerly JacobYates)

That’s exactly what he wants you to do. Don’t fall for it.

  • Tom

CBS thought it was so smart to move POI from Thursday nite and give us The Crazy Ones instead. And about 6 million + viewers bolted too. Great job CBS.

tom cbs did its job they poi syndicated

  • Ian

Oh please Scandal is still one of the most buzziest shows on television and people love it. Mark my words after next week Scandal will be back to getting over a 3 in the ratings. Don’t worry haters Scandal isn’t going anywhere for a while.

  • frodo

Actually your delusional… Scandal is not even that good this season… still not bad but its definitely not some amazing show. Its no Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad. The 7.2 on IMDB speaks for itself. Also most critics have been disappointed with the last couple of episodes.

  • frodo

With all that being said Scandal is still a huge hit for ABC.

  • Russell

Scandal has definitely fallen in quality. The show is becoming ridiculous.
I think CBS’s Thursday line-up is fine, but, if I were to make changes I would do the following:

    8:00 Big Bang Theory
    8:30 Millers
9:00 Two & A Half Men -New Time
    9:30 Mom – New Night

    8:00 Mother
    8:30 Broke Girls
    9:00 Mike & Molly
    9:30 Bad Teacher

I would cancel The Crazy Ones because it’s just not funny. It’s the third worst new comedy after 1) Michael J. Fox and 2) Sean Saves the World.

  • diana

seriously is scandal vs revenge fued is getting @nathan get over it revenge will be renewed either way @rob scandal is a hit deal with it

  • Nathan

Your point? It could still be an “amazing” show to some people, and I’m sorry, but using an IMDB rating as your backup is just plain stupid.

Oh, and I’m delusional now for defending one of the ABC dramas left that could pull a 3.0 vs a guy who is trying to turn a 2.9 into a 1.3?

  • M

Amazing for TVD… Sucks for reign it’s actually a lot better than I expected

No one is over the hype that is the monster of scandal… It’s just not the best slot … ABC needs to move to 9 and Greys to 8 to brings revenge to 10

  • diana

    revenge is certainly not trash
