@Preston: or maybe you’re just crazy.

  • Tony JJ

That’s what I was saying. I think Greys has a few more seasons left in it.

But I do think Shonda needs to write an episode or two especially this coming season finale. She needs to give the show a spark back that is dimming.

  • Nathan

So that’s why you hate Scandal? You don’t like how its fans are saying that the show will replace Grey’s, and air for years to come? If that’s the reason….then that’s just immature.

I just think you’re mad at the fact that the show has outgrown Grey’s Anatomy.

  • Jayson

Shonda will be writing this season’s finale because it’s going to be Oh’s last episode as a regular. She’s already said that she would. I, too, wish that she would write more episodes throughout the season though.

  • Tony JJ

By the way. Scandal was great. Glad to see Lisa kudrow make her debut last night and excited to see her character more next week. The show is definitely still juicy and delicious and numbers should start to go back up.

  • Tony JJ

I wondered and assumed shonda would right the finale because it is Sandra’s exit episode. So I’m glad to have that confirmed. Thanks!

  • Tony JJ

Oops write not right. I lost my first draft to an accidental exit of the web page and quickly rewrote it.

  • Jayson

Yep! I’m glad she’s writing it too; Shonda episodes tend to be better! I think the last one she wrote for GA was the S8 finale.

  • Anna

I just want to give a shout out to Nina Dobrev who broke my heart with her amazing performance on TVD last night.

Also…will OUATW will drop below 1 before ABD will pull the plug?

  • DaveV

I have picked up scandal recently and it is a good show, but last night’s episode was a little disjointed trying to fit all the characters and storylines in.

I think it will settle in the 2.5-2.8 range, which will still guarantee it will be around for a while because of the issues ABC has with it’s other drams

  • Trevor Lloyd

Love that The Big Bang Theory always gets adjusted up big! Why does this site continue to say that TBBT down this week is beyond me.

  • Feedback

CBS should just run TBBT reruns on Thursdays. They might get better ratings across the board.

  • Kenny

    Nice work TVD.

  • jp

surprise by the world series number but with the CBS and ABC schedule, I see why. This weekend, FOX should do well because ABC has a so so football game in Penn State vs fourth ranked team in the country in Ohio State Saturday and FOX has the NFL doubleheader (WASHINGTON VS DENVER across the country) on Sunday. A good lead in into the world series game 4.

Let’s face it, NBC numbers are awful and for the entire night. Maybe a new episode of the voice would boost the comedies that followed it, but why sacrifice that show in this train wreck.

Of course, NBC issued a press release stating positive things like the shows maintained the same ratings for a second week, etc. Sometimes it’s best not to say anything than sound silly.

  • Boiler

So now Elementary has more viewers than Scandal did. Just another example of the demos not being indicatgive of how popular shows are. This is pretty much across the board for CBS at all times

  • Bitter Go On Fan (Former Bitter Ringer Fan)

TVD adjusted up 2 tenths to tie its season high, that’s great!

Scandal might be under 3 but compared to the other 10pm shows, it is still a hit.

Fleign (See what i did here?) is done, The CW probably will wait on more episode, where Fleign might get a 0.5 and then cancel it. I doubt it’ll get pulled from the schedule since that’s not their style.
Obviously either The 100 or Star-crossed will get Fleign’s slot but what’s going to happen with the other one?
Last season they didn’t give the back 9 to EOMD and GG had a short season so they had space for their mid season shows. That’s not the case this year….

  • Gemma

The problem with Scandal is it appears that it’s already peaked. No one is talking about where it’s a ‘hit’ or not. That’s a very low bar to cross. It will remain a ‘hit’ as long as it’s above 2.0. Wow. What an accomplishment.

I disagree about TVD being a good lead-in for Reign. Two different genres. Sure, my daughter and I watch both but I wouldn’t think that is the norm. Sorry but HOD and Reign would fit together better than any other shows…
