Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    The Millers is an embarrassingly bad show and does not deserve to follow after The Big Bang Theory.
    I hate when mediocre shows get good ratings simply because they follow an established hit. It’s an unfunny and boring sitcom that needs to be fed to the bear.

  • Jessica

    I like OUATIW and I hope they let it finish its story-arc. I’ve stopped watching the old show and switched to Wonderland.

    bbt is a mediocre show that followed 2 and a half in it’s prime

    Too bad for Scandal, last night was a great episode, one the best yet. Still not bad.

  • Jayson

    I’m extremely happy that Grey’s went up from last week! Hopefully, it won’t be adjusted down…

  • joel

    The World Series is certain to be renewed.

    @ POIFanatic

    What’s comedy gold is that you think one of the largest and most respected polling firms in the U.S. is just some random internet poll.

  • wow

    pretty bad numbers for game 2 World Series game 1 was a blowout but game 2 was a close game i guess no one likes baseball NFL rules

  • thesnowleopard

    @PurpleDrazi

    Well, let’s see–the show is written as if the writers think teen girls are stupid. Many commenters on here act as if only teen girls are stupid enough to watch the show, which implies they think teen girls are stupid. No thought is given to the idea that young boys or even men might watch the show (if only for the hot girls on it), or that young girls might prefer baseball. Or that young girls might even have watched the show last week for reasons other than being stupid (i.e., curiosity about the period and a good, dramatic story about a popular, young reigning queen) and then wandered off to watch other things. Like baseball.

    And you think *I’m* the one who thinks teen girls are stupid?

    @Marty

    The game was really a rehash of the Monday game with the Viking and Giants, even the score was similar

    I wonder if Wonderland is doing good in Live+7. Anyone have any info on that?? If it’s doing better, maybe the Once fans might like to catch these shows back to back. They should pull Betrayal from the schedule, move Revenge down, and have Wonderland at 9.

    Rerun Scandal at 8 on Thursdays. It would probably do better than a 1.1 anyway.

    Noooooo I actually like reign :((( I watch th and the vampire diaries online bc I work second shift:( this is bs. Hope they finish it off at least don’t leave it in a cliffhanger like the secret circle ok!

  • POIFanatic

    @Ted Craig: So, you’re still hanging onto the silly notion that this internet poll firm, no matter how good they are, dictate and predict your every future move and tastes and are 100% right every single time? They don’t have a large enough base to start with.

  • Eric_Philly

    For future Thursday overnights… I’d recommend noting that Nielsen has consistently underestimated The Big Bang Theory this season.

  • AllOfHerTw!st

    Dang, and I was worried about Elementary crumbling even further against the WS. And it went up!

  • vicky

    @Grey’s. Everybody is purple and its always night time?
    Even when its day time.

  • Z

    Reign is the most amazing show ever. Please please please please please please please DON’T cancel it. I usually don’t have time to watch it on Thursday so I always watch it online on Friday. THIS IS LITERALLY THE BEST SHOW EVEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The people who aren’t watching it need to be watching it!
