Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Grimm and the Blacklist didn’t repeat very well. Decent for a season 1 episode of Elementary.

  • s0303

why repeat grimm? they most likely aren’t going to pick up new viewers of a 3 year old show on a saturday night…should have re-aired dracula…

  • John A

I think CBS aired 48 Hours at 9pm too not elementary.

  • sandy245

Two episodes of 48 hours aired from 9 to 11 last night.

  • Tom

    Mlb will adjust up

  • redbirds

Ah the picture of the trip. Red Sox fans cam keep crying if they want but it was easily interference. And what a game! My emotional highs and lows were ridiculous. The buzz for last nights game will dramatically boost tonights game 4 ratings. And having the Redskins vs Peyton Manning amd the Broncos as a lead in will be great too. Judging by the past few years since they have scheduled game 3 on saturday and game 4 on sunday, game 4 improves by a wide margin. I can see 16-17 million for tonight.

  • Poppa

Walking dead vs football vs world series… Me think zombies will come out on top and a battle between baseball and football for 2nd

  • ShawnfromDayton

I figured last nights World Series game would’ve gotten higher rating than that, then again it was Saturday. Ratings for the WS will definately rise tonight after last night’s game, but they still wont beat the NFL.

  • Joseph

Should the World Series go to a sixth (or even seventh) game, the sixth (and seventh, if played) game may be the most-watched program(s) of the week.

Last night’s (October 26th) controversial ending may draw more viewers, hoping to see more weird things on the field.

But then again, it’s almost Halloween, so maybe something strange would happen.

And wasn’t that the ghost of Rod Serling in one of the luxury boxes?? ;)

  • Ultima

I can’t use that Saturday excuse for the World Series as sports usually excel on Saturdays and the game was close and these numbers are super disappointing. This is a real low-rated World Series here for FOX.

Each game has been up year-to-year and unlike last year’s sweep, this series will go at least five (and probably six or seven) games. Super disappointing indeed.

ESPN are idiots they should’ve switched the South Carolina which aired on low-tier ESPN2 to ABC

They’re idiots for meeting their contractual obligations?

  • Ultima

    Disappointing like I said

When you have unrealistic expectations, I guess it’s easy to be disappointed.

Once the final numbers come out, this will probably be the highest rated, most watched Saturday World Series game in four years (since Yankees/Phillies in 2009).

    How is that disappointing?

  • Igwell

Grimm and the Blacklist didn’t repeat very well.

I think NBC Comedy Thursday would do much better than that in those slots.

Fell asleep before the “controversial” call. Aye, me. It’s tough getting old!

  • redbirds

Looks like 12.5 for game 3 final ratings. Best since 09. You’ll take that anyday for a saturday. Game 4 prediction 16.7 million.

  • redbirds

I meant 12.5 million viewers not rating. 7.4 rating.

  • K

World Series would have better competition tonight, if NBC’s game was not Packers and Vikings.

  • jp

As I said the World Series would outdraw the college football game which I didn’t think would be close. Tonight more eyeballs will be on Game 4 due to the controversy of last night and the Sunday Night game isn’t that great between the Vikings and Packers. 12.5 for game 3 is good for a Saturday.

    Pretty good number for 48Hrs.
