Sunday night's episode of The Walking Dead delivered a 6.8 adults 18-49 rating  (8.6 million adults 18-49 viewers) and 12.9 million total viewers. Against The World Series and Sunday Night Football, the show dipped a bit from last week's 7.1 adults 18-49 rating and 13.9 million viewers. Though the sports ratings could rise in the finals, TWD currently ranks as Sunday's top program.

    First…not too bad

  • Trey

It won’t hit above 7.0 until the mid-season finale.

Still impressive 6.8. Beat SNF even!

  • PurpleDrazi

Every other show on TV wishes they would “dip” to a 6.8!

  • Jeff (Canada)

Geez only a 6.8 rating. Time to cancel this dying show, AMC can find better ratings with something else.

It’s dropping like a rock. When will they pull it? ;-) :-)

Yet another awful episode… I was hoping those would be a thing of the past considering how bad second half of season 3 was. I was wrong.

The show seems to be doing everything possible to drive away its viewers — constantly killing off characters, having no hope of an end-game in sight, switching show-runners almost every year… and yet, people like me continue to watch non-stop.

Don’t get the popularity of this show. The cast’s so blah!

Not so, the episodes so far have been very good. Focusing on small things like diseases etc. are more “real”, as far as real can get on a show about zombies :) But I am enjoying this year far more than last year.
It’s amazing to me no network has tried to develop a show like this. The ratings are incredible.

What a bunch of morons. The show is back on it’s A game and kicking ass. When characters die its makes the show believable, suspenseful and tense. Go watch Duck Dynasty wimps!!!

The ending blew me away. But I do have a gripe about bringing in lots of new faces, only to kill them in the epidemic. The core folks still remain alone save for a few newbies.

After the ending though, I am sitting on the edge of my seat.

This is still the third highest rating it has ever had. All three episodes this season have exceeded the previous high set for the end of season 3.

  • John A

Still great but quite a drop from episode 1.

I think It will stabilize around the 7 for the rest of the season! I’m surprised that other Networks haven’t tried to replicate its success with another apocalyptic show

  • david

So what at least it cannot beat the recorded of the t.v. series of the simpson.

  • HeadlessHorseman (formerly JacobYates)

    Those are still stellar ratings.

  • j

I too think it will stabilize in the 7s. Having both major football and baseball competition is big for a show with a presumably big male viewership.

  • shogun

Geez, AMC we get it. A lot of people watch this show. Until you break another record you can cut the press releases.

  • Mark

If it really beat the NFL and World Series, it deserves every press release it can get.
