NOTE: Due to the nature of live  programming the ratings for NBC  (NFL Football) and Fox (World Series) are approximate and subject to more than the typical adjustments in the final numbers.

NOTE The start of CBS prime was delayed in many East Coast markets due to NFL overruns. In New York, Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton, Louisville and Jacksonville CBS programming was delayed 9 minutes. In Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Norfolk, Detroit and Dallas CBS programming was delayed 26 minutes. Ratings are tentative and subject to change.

FOX was number one among adults 18-49 and with total viewers.

On FOX, the end of the Broncos/Redskins football game notched a preliminary 7.8 adults 18-49 rating. Game 4 of the World Series garnered a preliminary 4.4 adults 18-49 rating up 10 percent from a 4.0 for last year’s game 4.

On NBC  Sunday Night Football, which featured a match-up between the Vikings and the Packers earned a preliminary 5.6 down 46 percent from last week's preliminary 9.5 adults 18-49 rating from 8:30-11PM.

On ABC, America’s Funniest Home Videos earned a season high 1.4 up 27 percent from last week's series low 1.1 adults 18-49 rating.  Once Upon A Time scored a 2.2 up 5 percent from last week's 2.1 adults 18-49 rating. Your predictions were too pessimistic. Revenge matched last week's season low 1.5 adults 18-49 rating.  Betrayal notched a 1.0 up 11 percent from last week's 0.9 adults 18-49 rating.

On CBS, the start of primetime was delayed in many East Coast markets so these numbers are likely to change in the finals. 60 Minutes scored a 1.5 down 46 percent from last week's 2.8 adults 18-49 rating. The Amazing Race earned a series low 1.7 down 11 percent from last week's 1.9. A heavily promoted episode of The Good Wife matched last week's 1.4 adults 18-49 rating. The Mentalist garnered a 1.3 up 8 percent from last week's series low 1.2 adults 18-49 rating.

Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    Revenge finally didn’t drop in the ratings for once, at least not yet. :)
    I’m guessing the only reason it was stable is because Family Guy is on hiatus. Once Animation Domination returns Revenge will be struggling to pull a 1.2! ABC needs to just go ahead and cancel this failure of a show. There is no excuse for pulling a 1.5 when your lead in earned a 2.2! There are several shows that could do a much better job of retaining OUAT audience. I say they bring back Last Resort!

    ABC had a problem with its Wednesday 10pm slot and Revenge premiered and was its best rated drama in that slot in a long time. ABC should of kept it there. I don’t know why they are so reluctant to move Castle. Castle should of been moved to Sunday @9pm last season to replace Desperate Housewives. It would of done decently following Once Upon a Time. Revenge shares to much of an audience with The Good Wife. Also I think Castle would of been a better lead in to 666 Park Ave. And then Nashville should of definitely premiered on Monday @10pm after Dancing With the Stars. There was no need to mess with the Wednesday 10pm slot.

    I can personally vouch for dantas… Their comments are NOTHING ALIKE…

    They don’t seem even remotely similar to me.

    cardinals will crush the rams ratings in missouri and surrounding areas. Wont be to terrible close tonight as WS has 2-4 million more viewers over mnf in my opinion.

  • Ray

    @Joe
    You are just another troll. Last Resort would be doing much worse than Revenge in that slot. No ABC show would have an easy time in that slot. The highest Sundays at 9 will/would ever see would be a 2.0. It’s just a tough spot. It is not a failure of a show, it’s continuing a third season and will inevitably get a fourth.

    Revenge’s ratings are awful and I wouldn’t care if ABC announced ahead of time this is the last season. Despite the reveal, last night’s episode wasn’t as good as the previous 2 weeks. Still this season has been much better than last. Shame ABC made the stupid mistake throwing it on Sunday while precious Scandal gets protected with a good lead-in and no competition in its timeslot at all.

  • Zapbob

    Live ratings will continue to go down as more and more of us DVR are favorite shows. I like watching scripted shows all together. I had a day off today and watched all the OUAT episodes this season today. Still havent watched Revenge, Blacklist, and Nashville this season eventhough I have them saved on the DVR. Only thing I watch live are sports and AoS.

  • diana

    last nights episode of revenge was a weak episode but next weeks episode looking really good i hope nolan doesn’t die

  • diana

    @joe
    why are you so desperate for revenge to get cancelled like seriously if you don’t like the show why look at its ratings and let alone care

  • diana

    i think that they should should move revenge back to wendesday at 10 and move nashville on sunday’s at 10 put resurrection at 9 after ouat.

  • Andy

    How are you people experts on cancellations?? Every year TGW!! 9 million viewers is nothing to pout about. Oh I forgot I am one of the oldies who does not buy anything!

  • Terry

    How can Revenge be syndicated considering its extremely serialized plot?

  • Joe

    @ Diana
    I just think Revenge is a weak show that is failing to take advantage of it’s great lead in OUAT. It’s the same thing every episode! Emily and Victoria whispering at each other in a passive aggressive manor, Daniel never dumping Emily no matter how many times she proves herself to be untrustworthy, pointless scenes with characters that no one cares about ie Charlotte and Aiden, not to mention that the plot never actually goes anywhere! How many times has Emily come up with some master plan to take down the Graysons, then something happens to ruin said master plan and by the end of the episode we are right back to the status quo. Revenge has only survived this long because of it’s great lead in, while shows with QUALITY writing like Last Resort were canceled way before their time because they weren’t given such advantages.

    Unless you’re now living in an alternate reality, Revenge will get a 4th season due to syndication.

  • dantas

    @Dorothy5332, @AllOfHerTwist,

    Thank you both very much! :)

    I think I’ll change my username very soon…

    @Terry,

    The Syndication Gods don’t care at all if a show is a heavily serialized drama, a reality singing competition, a moster-of-the-week terror flick or some feel good heart-lighted comedy.

    They only require, either 88 episodes ordered or four seasons fully aired; and the occasional virgin.

  • Ray

    Last Resort had awful ratings, especially in the final episodes. Not to mention, ABC overall had higher ratings then. For years ABC’s average has been dropping, so ABC in general is lowering their expectations. Either way, Last Resort was a failure and Revenge is still managing to outrate Last Resort’s ratings. But I’ll be fair and say Last Resort did have tough competition Thursdays at 8p, like Revenge has Sundays at 9p.

    I liked last resort but NO WAY it would even remotely do what it was doing on a Thursday what revenge is… No way in he** that seems like the most ludicrous thing I’ve ever heard.. No way it would compete with SNF and the walking dead… No way… I’m so confident I would be thousands in in.. That’s how confident I am about that..

  • Dorothy5334

    On it I meant.

  • Ray

    Exactly, Last Resort would be murdered if it aired on Sunday where Revenge is now. I can’t believe Joe said many shows can do so much better, let’s bring Last Resort back. I mean really, Last Resort would be at Lucky 7 numbers. The only shows that could potentially survive the tough competition are the two strong veteran shows (Scandal & Grey’s Anatomy). Castle is solid, but would struggle, probably pulling in similar numbers as Revenge. Nashville probably would be pulling in numbers like 1.0-1.2 Sundays at 9. It seems ABC’s only option are to tough it out with Revenge in that slot, or put one of the two strong veteran shows there. There’s really no other options. I think Revenge should remain there for the rest of its fall & spring season, and fall 2014 move back to Wednesdays. Next year ABC needs to shuffle around their schedule instead of just plugging in the holes that break back open year after year (Tuesdays 9-11pm, Thursdays 8pm, Sundays 10pm, Fridays 7-8pm, Wednesdays 7:30pm, etc.)
