Adults 18-49: Rating/Share 5.1/13 4.5/11 1.5/4 1.5/4 1.1/3
Adults 18-34: Rating/Share 4.5/13 4.0/11 1.2/3 0.9/3 0.9/2
Total Viewers (million) 16.682 12.31 5.546 9.110 2.941

NOTE: Due to the nature of live  programming the ratings for NBC  (NFL Football) and Fox (World Series) are approximate and subject to more than the typical adjustments in the final numbers.

NOTE The start of CBS prime was delayed in many East Coast markets due to NFL overruns. In New York, Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton, Louisville and Jacksonville CBS programming was delayed 9 minutes. In Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Norfolk, Detroit and Dallas CBS programming was delayed 26 minutes. Ratings are tentative and subject to change.

FOX was number one among adults 18-49 and with total viewers.

On FOX, the end of the Broncos/Redskins football game notched a preliminary 7.8 adults 18-49 rating. Game 4 of the World Series garnered a preliminary 4.4 adults 18-49 rating up 10 percent from a 4.0 for last year’s game 4.

On NBC  Sunday Night Football, which featured a match-up between the Vikings and the Packers earned a preliminary 5.6 down 46 percent from last week's preliminary 9.5 adults 18-49 rating from 8:30-11PM.

On ABC, America’s Funniest Home Videos earned a season high 1.4 up 27 percent from last week's series low 1.1 adults 18-49 rating.  Once Upon A Time scored a 2.2 up 5 percent from last week's 2.1 adults 18-49 rating. Your predictions were too pessimistic. Revenge matched last week's season low 1.5 adults 18-49 rating.  Betrayal notched a 1.0 up 11 percent from last week's 0.9 adults 18-49 rating.

On CBS, the start of primetime was delayed in many East Coast markets so these numbers are likely to change in the finals. 60 Minutes scored a 1.5 down 46 percent from last week's 2.8 adults 18-49 rating. The Amazing Race earned a series low 1.7 down 11 percent from last week's 1.9. A heavily promoted episode of The Good Wife matched last week's 1.4 adults 18-49 rating. The Mentalist garnered a 1.3 up 8 percent from last week's series low 1.2 adults 18-49 rating.

Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    Revenge did great

Is baseball skewed that much to older viewers, compared to the NFL?

It needs to figure out how to get the younger generation more interested, especially in light of the growth of the NFL, college football, basketball, soccer, etc…

  • r0ckmypants

@Chase – “If they don’t do that ABC should at least cancel it ahead of time and give the writers enough time to wrap it up.”

This is already the case. ABC announced at upfronts that Betrayal would tell a complete story in its initial 13-episode order.

Ohm, Revenge is still fine as H**l

I think “Once Upon a Time” has a real shot at dropping to a new low tonight.
    Posted October 28, 2013 at 12:26 AM
1.8. It won’t fall as far as a male oriented series.
    Posted October 27, 2013 at 10:13 AM
1.9. It’s sad, it had so much potential.

    Once Upon a Time-1.8

All I`m gonna say is : Last night episode of OUAT was great and you downers made it even better :)
    see ya next week …

Revenge isn’t likely to move days. If it’s at a 1.5 now, any move will likely cause the current viewers to timeshift and that will lower the ratings.

An argument can be made to move Sundays at 10 PM and relocate an existing drama at 9 PM. However, ABC is in short supply of dramas which can move days and not take a massive hit. The only three available are Castle, Grey’s Anatomy, and Scandal and ABC would be hesitant to move days on any of these three shows.

Revenge is likely stuck on this night and this timeslot.

    @ r0ckmypants

    Just like Max, Bondoel…

  • Douglas from Brazil

I was expecting a 1.8 for The Good Wife due to the heavily promoted episode last night.TGW needs a new night.

  • jersey

TGW does lousy in the demo but it’s pulling in 9 million viewers. Not sure what CBS has in mind but it is probably the finest show on network TV. To bad the people would rather watch garbage than a quality show like TGW.

  • Henry

Revenge needs to be back in its timeslot-Wednesday

  • Alecia

I guess Dante keeps winning. Even when he’s not here he keeps getting mentioned. At this point I don’t know who is more annoying him or everyone else who attacks him.

  • Betty

Hopefully ABC will get the message more Hook more viewers.

  • joel

That is a pretty good number for the world series. When the Red Sox are playing you get viewers. My guess it gets 17 million viewers tonight and maybe 20 in game 6 and 7 if there is one.

    @ RDavid

Baseball had a 4.5 in the 18-34 Demo–how much better can the “youth” number get?

The NFL registered a 4.0 in the 18-34, which in my books, didn’t score as well with the “Younger Generation”

  • James

@x – agree – Revenge isn’t going to move time-slots. ABC won’t move Castle because it’s holding it’s own against brutal competition and Greys and Scandal are working on Thursdays so they’ll stay put. Revenge is going to have to figure out a way to survive on Sunday nights.

  • diana

    I’m surprised paris isn’t here

  • Percysowner

Sad about The Good Wife… and The Amazing Race has collapsed!

The racers this year aren’t very likable and the ones that I do like keep getting eliminated. My personal feeling is that trying to make the show more like Survivor with 2 Express Passes and double U Turns was a bad idea. I liked seeing people win on their own merits, not because of alliances based on who will get and Express Pass and people being turned by another team. Just MHO>

  • Jean

i love Revenge, the show is so much better now, it got #1 in its timeslot, isn’t it, so GREAT!

  • TVDude

ABC should be happy with the up ratings against a rather competitive World Series.

No one should be happier than Fox though as the extra games me more money for the network. If only Cardinals could make the series every year (it seems like they always go beyond the first four games when they play).

  • dantas

CBS will cancel it. Unfortunetaly, total viewership doesn’t matter here. The A18-49 demo is waaay more important to channel’s board.

It is a good show but doesn’t bring the numbers in, and that will get it axed by May 2014.
