via press release:

  • HOMELAND season three continues its upward growth trajectory, delivering its highest-rated episode and total night of the season this past Sunday, and its second-biggest total night ever (behind only the season two finale night).
  • Episode 5 delivered two million viewers at 9 p.m., up 13 percent vs. its prior week and 2.73 total million viewers for the night, up 9 percent vs. last week (2.51 million).
  • The numbers are even more impressive when you take into account that HOMELAND faced stiff competition this Sunday including:
    • Game 4 of the World Series, Sunday Night Football, as well as original episodes on broadcast, cable and premium.
  • HOMELAND is on pace to deliver its highest-rated and most watched season ever with 6.7 million weekly viewers across platforms, up 25 percent versus season two in the same time frame.
  • MASTERS OF SEX steadily holds its audience with 1.01 million viewers at 10 p.m. and 1.32 million viewers for the night. A heavily time-shifted show, season-to-date MASTERS is delivering 5.4 million weekly viewers across platforms.

    Homeland is really getting good.

Homeland has been horrible this season.

    This season has been excellent.

How has Homeland stayed so strong in ratings? Its been so terrible. Clare Danes and Damien Lewis deserve better. Not much spin about MOS.

  • Dan

Last 2 episodes have been really good. I think its gotten better since the premiere and will finish strong. Overall im enjoying the season.

I’ve heard terrible things about this season.

  • Mike

I’m on the side of terrible this season. I have loved this show but this season has been very disappointing. So many of the dynamics of the show that worked are just not there anymore. Everything seems disjointed and all the characters are an island unto themselves.

    Excellent season.

Carrie and Brody were the heart of Homeland. So far season three has been like bypass surgery, maybe needed, but not much fun.

Would the people who think Homeland is having a good season post some reasons? We’ve heard the opinions of the lousy season camp: too much Dana, no Brody, slower pace, unfocused storyline, etc… But I’m curious why anyone thinks this season is decent.
