Well then. Why don’t you ask CBS to return H50 to Monday nights? They probably should have paid attention to you because they obviously got it wrong.

Is my post dripping with enough sarcasm to match yours? :-)

  • Randy

I just saw! Not only was TGW up against football BUT the World Series. But, yeah, you are probably right.

That competition has nothing on what H50 faces——LOL

  • Joe

    @ Ultima
Exactly! Family Guy is able to get decent ratings going up against Football, why can’t Revenge? Now watch some crazy Revenge fan claim is is because people like to watch Family Guy live. :)

  • Randy

So JOE, you think if H50 was where TGW is right now, it would do as well? Even though on the easy Friday night it gets exactly the same demo and number of viewers as TGW? Because we were discussing H50 and TGW, not Revenge.

  • Ultima

They probably should have paid attention to you because they obviously got it wrong.

You should try paying attention because you’re obviously getting it wrong. I didn’t say a single thing about Hawaii Five-0, so why do you keep bringing it up?

This was your ridiculous comment that I was responding to…

If you think SNF isn’t a HUGE barrier for shows to get decent ratings, than you really don’t know much about what is popular. Football is killer competition.

If you actually think Sunday Night Football is a huge barrier for shows to get decent ratings, then you really don’t know you’re talking about. Football is a killer fan excuse bingo square.

  • Randy

If you are going to comment on MY post, be sure you know what I was comparing. I was comparing Friday night to Sunday night and the difference in competition between H50 and TGW. It is HUGE.
My comment is only ridiculous if you take it out of context, as you did.

Otherwise, you miss my point. Moving on now. I am not interested in snarking with you or anyone.

You questioned my post first and started the snark. Not interested in more of it. Peace.

Revenge is facing tough competition. Yes, it was able to survive last fall, but let’s be real here. Sunday Night Football is pretty solid with last year, the World Series jumped much higher this year than the same Sunday last year, The Walking Dead is MUCH stronger this year than last year, the series finale of Breaking Bad aired opposite of Revenge’s season premiere & that was much weaker last year than it was this year. Revenge is pulling in huge DVR numbers which shows people just aren’t watching it live anymore. Plus its available all over streaming, which tons of people are using too. There has been a couple Sundays where I skipped Revenge in favor of the competition, and then I just watch it on the Watch ABC app on Monday.

  • Joe

    @ Ray
The thing is ABC doesn’t care about how many people are watching Revenge via DVR and streaming, they only care about the people who watch the commercials during live airings. No matter the competition, there is no excuse for the show to continue dropping every week the way it has. If OUAT and Animation Domination can do well despite the competition, why can’t Revenge? Fans are tired of watching Revenge go around in circles week after week with the same old weak plotlines.

Its a shame what is happening to Revenge. It is a great show and is finally rebounding from its weak second season.
Truth is it should never have been moved from its Wed 10pm time slot. It was moved and Nashville was given its slot. Nashville, which had weak first season ratings, should have got the boot last May and put Revenge back in Wednesdays. I think Revenge could perform better airing behind Scandal. Maybe move Scandal to 9pm and Revenge to Thursdays @10. All ABC has to do is look at the DVR ratings, it is obvious the fans are still there for Revenge. Just not watching it on Sundays.

And to the previous commenter, you are incorrect. DVR viewings are important up to 3 days after live airing. Advertisers pay for L+3 ratings.

I love Revenge, i hope this show won’t be canceled, Go Revenge

  • Amy

I think Revenge will be renewed, Revenge’s DVR numbers is huge, so Revenge will be fine

  • Henry

if Revenge wants to get higher rating, kill Jack, Aiden, Patrick, Charlote, Margaux, focus on Grayson, more Revenge

  • Jcc

Betrayal will be soon hitting 1.5 – same as revenge – you heard it here first !

  • Ray

Advertisers do care about L+3 ratings, which is why networks typically release press releases with said data. If it was meaningless, the networks wouldn’t bother, they only release what their paying advertisers want (L+SD, L+3, & Sweeps broadcast info). And yes, Once Upon a Time is doing fine, but it doesn’t have The Walking Dead to go up against. Not to mention, its down a lot too, so shows typically carry over ratings from their lead-ins (there are exceptions like Modern Family which builds huge upon its lead, & Scandal which is similar to its lead in, but most shows take effect of what its lead in is). Animation Domination isn’t exactly that fantastic in ratings either (The Simpsons & Family Guy seem to do fine), but shows like American Dad and Bob’s Burgers, not that exciting. Plus in the past shows like The Cleveland Show and Allen Gregory weren’t exactly scoring huge either. Animation Domination has been solid year after year, but it doesn’t exactly set the world on fire in ratings.

Go Revenge! You still have chance, although Revenge got low rating, the show was very good, better and better. Love Revnege so much!

  • Miley

Patrick: go away, Margaux: go away, Jack: die or leave hampston or something, aiden: die or in jail, Nolan: back to his job, Ems: revenge more, Victoria+Conrad: more evil,

  • Jeffrey Sean Keith

RELAX people Revenge will go up with less competition!

  • diana

@jcc betrayal gets a 1.3 rating with dvr how is it going to get a 1.5 live the highest I think it will go is a 1.2

  • Samuel

Revenge is still getting a fourth season, regardless of the numbers it pulls in. The real question is, will its renewal be announced as a final season and left to die in its current time slot, or are ABC going to move it back to Wednesday at 10pm where it should have remained?

The only thing that could save ABC’S Sunday nights is if they replaced Scandal with Revenge and give the Thursday 10pm slot to a new show that could benefit much more from the Grey’s lead in.

    The logical thing to do would be;

    Wednesday: Revenge 10pm
    Thursday: Grey’s 9pm + New show 10pm
Sunday: Once Upon A Time 8pm, Scandal 9pm + a new show at 10pm to benefit from the scandal lead in!
