Arrow and Tomorrow People got hurt by the world series 2 weeks! As well as the other shows so I think they will bounce back next week! NOVEMBER SWEEPS IS COMING!

  • JJA

I think Arrow will bounce back next week. Two weeks in a row against the World Series did hurt it.

I’m not so sure about The Tomorrow People. The show hasn’t been on long enough to develop a fan base, and its premier numbers were only a .9 (so there wasn’t as much interest to begin with). We shall see …

Lol at people clapping at 0.8 for Arrow. Its still a new low and makes Arrow the forth rated show, a show that the network and fans had huge expectations of and expected it to be in the 1.0 range as well as being the #1 on network.

@Tom I don’t disagree that TTP probably won’t be renewed. It may not even get a back 9 for all the reasons you list. I’m just sick of hearing about The Secret Circle. TSC is a dead horse, but it still keeps getting beaten. As I said, I enjoy TTP, but I won’t be that upset if it doesn’t survive. Lots of shows that I think are really good get canceled all the time. The CW improved their performance on Tuesdays, but Wednesdays lost some ratings punch. I was hoping the Arrow/TTP combination would give the CW a second solid night. But it looks like TTP may not do the trick.

In a couple of years the 18-49 deomo won’t matter. There are only a handful of shows that get above a 3.0 demo. More than half of the shows on TV get below a 2.0. That’s why the 25-54 demo is more important.

    Summer Glau strikes again!

In a couple of years the 18-49 demo won’t matter. There are only a handful of shows that get above a 5.0 demo. More than half of the shows on TV get below a 3.0. That’s why the 25-54 demo is more important.

    Russell in 2003…

In a couple of years the 18-19 demo won’t matter. There are only a handful of shows that get above a 10.0 demo. More than half of the shows on TV get below a 7.0. That’s why the 25-54 demo is more important.

Will you still be trying to push this nonsense in 2018 when the A18-49 demo is still the primary advertising demo for broadcast primetime?

I’m glad Arrow gets good increases for +7 DVR

    Z,
I love Arrow! Hope the CW continues with it! Great cast!

  • Randy

    @ralph,

Nice that Revolution has been able to hold a steady 1.4 even with competition from the World Series. I’m hoping it goes up to at least a 1.5 or higher next week. Arrow at a 0.8 is lower than last week but for the CW that is still a safe number.

I love both shows. Hope they both survive!

I don’t think people who watch the cw watch baseball, football or basketball. At best soccer.

“What are you.. The Dante for Nashville?”

“I’ve been posting here for over 4 years. Don’t compare me to that idiot.”
I don’t care how long you’ve been posting here, you still act just like Dante. You just love to dog Nashville, just like Dante loves to dog CF.

  • Fitzy

@Aeiouy False. I love Arrow and watch all sports you mentioned as well. watched the World Series and DVRd Arrow.

Nielsen is always expanding their sample size.

At this point, TTP looks more safe than Reign. The CW can’t afford to cancel both shows, so I think it will get a full season and then it’s done (if it keeps dropping) along with Reign.

Wow it’s crazy how Friday shows are doing better than a lot of weekday 10pm shows.

  • Networkman

CBS should definitely renew CSI for season 15th. But it should be its last and air on Friday night. I feel it will be able to rebound back to 1.9-2.0 for the rest of the season. The World Series played some part in its decrease.

I decided to give Super Fun Night another shot last night. The show is horrible. I just don’t care for Rebel’s character. She comes off as a cartoon character so she is not relatable. And then her friends are simply corny, in my opinion. The only character I found bearable was the Supervisor. Happy Endings was much better than this lame comedy. I don’t think I laughed once, the writing was that bad. I really wanted it to be over. I feel as if the writers simply want her to laugh at Rebel because she is overweight and acting awkward. Watching it, I feel embarrassed for Rebel. She deserves a better vehicle. Maybe she could guest star opposite Melissa McCarthy on Mike & Molly, where her talent could be utilize. ABC should really cut this show.

  • Networkman

*sorry.. I feel the writers of Super Fun Night simply want us to laugh at Rebel because she is overweight and acting awkward.

  • Jon

I wonder if ABC will even decide to air mixology or use it as spackle for a saturday burnoff. If they are struggling with their new fall comedies, one can only imagine what that stinker is going to do. Has anyone seen the trailers for that one. Talk about a horrible looking show

  • Jon

@networkman……unless something drastic happens with CSI, it seems like it still has some game left. With syndication deals in place, it still is a very profitable show. There are still several shows on the network with lower demo averages than CSI. My guess is CSI could end up pushing for that elusive 20 year mark.
