Time of Death 2

via press release:

NEW YORK, NY – (November 1, 2013) – Following the series premiere of its new six-part documentary series TIME OF DEATH, SHOWTIME is offering viewers nationwide the opportunity to sample the first episode of the series across multiple platforms now. The episode can be screened now on the SHOWTIME website, on YouTube, via select television providers' websites, as well as on SHOWTIME apps for iPhone®, iPod Touch®, Android smartphones and tablets, and Nook® and Kindle Fire tablets.  TIME OF DEATH airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET/PT only on SHOWTIME.

The series intimately follows the final days of a truly remarkable group of terminally ill people, and how their imminent mortality affects their family and friends, sometimes in surprising ways, and explores the support their caregivers/healthcare workers provide while guiding them through the final stages of life. From executive producers Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz of the award-winning Magical Elves production team (Top Chef, Fashion Star, The Real L Word®), TIME OF DEATH is an unforgettable, unflinchingly candid series and each unique, emotionally resonant story serves as a tangible, hopeful reminder of the finite nature of time and mortality.

Having experienced this recently with my mom, I honestly don’t understand why anyone would want to watch something like this as entertainment.

  • El

    Sorry about your loss, Alex.

Not every program on TV is meant to entertain.

  • May

I agree with Alex. Why is Showtime showing something like this? If you want to watch really good documentaries then you should watch PBS or Pivot. Showtime sucks.
