"THE Good Wife" DELIVERS ITS LARGEST AUDIENCE AND MATCHES ITS BEST ADULTS 18-49 DELIVERY OF THE SEASON

"60 Minutes" and "The Amazing Race" Post Best Ratings Since Oct. 6

CBS Wins Sunday in Viewers

THE Good Wife delivered its largest audience of the season and matched season's best adults 18-49 rating while 60 Minutes and THE Amazing Race posted their best ratings since Oct. 6, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Sunday, Nov. 3.

Note:  CBS aired late running football (until approximately 8:00 PM/ET and 7:00 PM/CT).  Ratings and time period rankings for all networks are tentative and subject to change.

From 8:00-9:00 PM, 60 Minutes was first in  viewers (15.09m), second in both adults 25-54 (4.2/09) and adults 18-49 (3.2/08).  If ratings hold, these are the best deliveries in these measures since Oct. 6.

From 9:00-10:00 PM, THE Amazing Race was second in viewers (9.40m) and adults 25-54 (2.8/06) and averaged 2.0/05 in adults 18-49.  Compared to last week, THE Amazing Race was up +12% in adults 25-54 (from 2.5/06), +11% in adults 18-49 (from 1.8/04) and added +1.29m viewers (from 8.11m, +16%).  If ratings hold, these are the best deliveries in these measures since Oct. 6.

From 10:00-11:00 PM, THE Good Wife was second in viewers (9.79m), adults 25-54 (2.3/06) and adults 18-49 (1.6/04).  Compared to last week, THE Good Wife was up  +5% in adults 25-54 (from 2.2/05), +14% in adults 18-49 (from 1.4/03) and added +440,000 viewers (from 9.35m +5%).  If ratings hold, this would be THE GOOD WIFE's largest audience of the season and matched season's best adults 18-49 rating.

For the night, CBS was first in viewers (14.35m) and second in both adults 25-54 (4.3/10) and adults 18-49 (3.3/08).

Updated Sunday ratings will be available tomorrow.

the good wife has been tremendous this season

  • harry

good wife is awesome this season , and especiallyu last 2 episodes. in another timeslot this would be above 2.0 (18-49)

  • THE OLD MAN

THE GOOD WIFE is the best show on Network TV.

    I hope the numbers hold.

  • Frost

Yea, it’s probably the best network drama. It deserves all the viewers.

  • Max

I think last week’s episode was the water cooler TV show of the week.
I always have thought this was a great show but that episode was off the hook.
I am not surprised all the buzz resulted in increased viewership.

Agree with all the comments – didn’t watch last year ^ wouldn’t miss this season. Maybe should replace Hostages immediately.

  • Rob R

Agree with all the exciting buzz, but disagree it would be a good replacement for “Hostages.” CBS Monday is a “dumbed-down” viewer night in general, and CBS is pairing Good Wife with the highly educated, affluent audience that flows from 60 Minutes to Amazing Race (and its rich global travelogue) to Good Wife. I dont think it would perform well on Monday night at 10.

Go Alicia. Dont even think of canceling this show CBS.

  • Don

What happened to the new Mentalist episode that was to air 11/03/13? All I got was a rerun featuring the death of Rigsby’s father.

  • Vanquished

Well that sucks… Might be enough to keep it from cancellation :(

The Good Wife is such a terrible show.

  • Cuttler

@Don, because prime time was over by the time the Mentalist ran in the Eastern markets CBS chose to pull the new epi and replace it with the rerun. My guess to make sure they play it when it counts for the Nov Sweeps.

  • Ralph Hahn

At those Bonheads at CBS nearly cancelled “The Good Wife” in its first season.

The Good Wife is incredible! So happy to read this and I really hope the ratings hold in the final adjustments. This season has been absolutely brilliant and I cannot wait for more.

  • dave

The Good Wife is the best drama out there this season. I really hope the numbers would hold and CBS would not stupidly cancel it. GO Alicia.

  • anna g

Definitely the best network drama currently airing. I’m so glad the ratings went up – hopefully they will be enough to renew the show for at least least shoerter season. The mantalist seems like a goner.

  • YZX

The good wife is great.I like this show very much.

  • eh

  • nari
