Castle is still doing really well and I barely seen any promo for that show. BATB days are numbered sadly, the viewers in millions are not looking pretty either, if it manages a 0.2 next week, it will probably be moved instantly to fridays. and hey nikita on monday, why not? lol. I mean gossip girl ended on monday.

Not bad for Castle… It seems that the majority of the inflated numbers for ABC were during the first half of the game (prior to Aaron’s injury). DWTS saw the big hit while Castle only loss 2 tenths… I expected a bigger drop.

Sorry… I kept thinking DWTS hit a 2.4 in the prelims, but that was only from 9 to 10. My mistake.

to the dude who said a ~whole 1.1 that sleepy hollow went down since its premiere. uh that’s much better than aos which went from a 4.6 to a 2.7 the most recent ep (aka nearly 2 points). hell even the blacklist premiered to a 3.8 and fell almost a whole point to a 2.9 so how exactly is sleepy hollow disappointing? of these three i see WAY more talk about sleepy hollow than any of the others, and a lot of the people i know watch all three but only seem to spend time really discussing the one

You know, maybe there’s something to the oft made comment that BATB needs a better lead in. How about this: a spinoff starring Nina Lisandrello who plays Tess on BATB. Let’s call it “Not Just Another Pretty Face”. That should give those legions of fans that Nielsen has overlooked an uninterrupted two hour block of programming featuring their idols. Better yet, that combination should net the CW at least two more Peoples’ Choice Awards. Who wants to start the petition?

Last season when NIKITA was pulling .3’s on a Friday, The CW was in operation save NIKITA by moving it around from 9p to 8p.

How long more until they leave BATB on a prime Monday slot?

  • SJ

Allison Janney has got to win an Emmy for last night’s episode of Mom, amirite? :D

Good for Dancing with the Stars and Castle. I expected worse.

  • Paul

I have adjusted Castle up 2 full points in my ‘most obnoxious fans’ ranking.

  • Zach

Did someone really suggest a BATB spinoff?

  • Ronak

I think Hostages will keep its slot at least till the Christmas break. Next year CBS will have to decide what to do there.

Castle did not adjust down as much as I expected. TB is still not as big a hit as people are convinced, for mine. Without The Voice at all (aka Revolution or Smash), I think its numbers will pale.

I did not expect SH to return to a series low. Is that a trend post-World Series?

Regarding CBS Comedy, I view it as a 4 way fight between The Millers, The Crazy Ones, Mom and Two and a Half Men with 2 getting out alive and the other two dying. Obviously, two and a half men probably depends more on costs than revenues at this point, so I don’t know if we’ll be able to know based on ratings. As for the freshman shows, depends on where they land at season’s end.

YES! :) she was so great. i tried resisting this show since it’s a chuck lorre comedy on CBS, but anna and allison keep bringing me back. hopefully the show continues to get better also.

  • eridapo

I’ve never watched Castle and I plan not to but I have to say I love it when it beats DWTS.”

I wonder what pisher has to say about this. ;)

Yeah I wonder whatever happen to him…. His pure hatred of Castle and endless diatribes were a riot….

  • j

So much for “OMG Castle’s gonna catch up w/Blacklist soon!!!”

  • Aiden_Mathis

MOM will be again at the bottom of CBS comedies this week. If CBS decides to cancel one of the comedies based on the ratings… gotta be MOM!

SLEEPY HOLLOW needs to stop falling. It can afford to fall until 2.0, no more than that.

CASTLE is a rock! It has the same average for like.. 3 years, I think. It has a loyal fanbase and rarely gets less than 2.0 rating. 2.2 is a season high, isn’t it?

  • Kate

I wonder if they’ll ship BATB off to Fridays come January in favor of premiering one of their new midseason shows in that spot. They couldn’t do any worse. Unless they pull a Cult.

The Blacklist is still doing awesome, I’m glad because it’s easily the best new drama. Sleepy Hollow went from being intriguing to a little meh for me but I still watch when I have the time.

  • James

Blacklist has too big of a lead-in from the Voice for Castle to catch up to it. To Castle’s credit, it consistently rates higher than it’s lead-in DWTS.

  • joe

Sleepy Hollow still doing well but it has dropped every episode. That’s not a good sign. It was down to a 2.4 in the demo, the second half hour today.

  • j

    Since premieres:
    Bones -.3, Hollow -1.0
    Voice -1.5, Blacklist -.9

Blacklist seems to hold up better there…Bones was way behind Hollow but is now kinda close; Blacklist was way behind Voice but now is kinda close.

  • HeadlessHorseman

Don’t worry. It’s already renewed for season 2 and is the highest rated show on Fox.

  • eridapo

    @Paul and @Aiden_Mathin

    How is this for stability?

The average rating for Castle’s first 7 episodes is 2.1 demo and 10.87 million viewers.

Last year the average rating for the first 7 episodes was 2.028 demo and 10.47 million viewers.

Gunsmoke rule violation here (to season 4)

The average ratings for the fist 7 episodes was 2.5 demo and 11.28 Million viewers (This was pre-voice on NBC and pre-smash, revolution, Blacklist)
