Is Trophy Wife on CW ? :D

  • Antonio

Trophy Wife needs to be moved to Wednesdays after The Middle or after Modern Family – It doesn’t matter where, it will surely do better on that night as it’s a much better fit.

  • Theisssuesarenow

POI is danger of moving to Friday or Sunday and being cancelled very soon. End of 2014 season if it’s lucky. Terrible ratings means it’s on the cancellation track. It is going to be cancelled and is longer a success. It’s a huge bomb now with really no future at all.

Trophy Wife is bound determined to get the post Modern Family slot come January. It has to. It’s produced by ABC studios and just got a full season with a 1.1 but has great quality and buzz. So it could grow.

    The Goldbergs

    The middle
    Modern family
    Trophy wife

That is what I would do. With the exception of I wouldn’t choose mixology to go after Goldbergs but where else are they gonna put it. And where is super fun night gonna go. It only has an extra 4 more eps ordered but still. But let’s just say ABC messed up big time comedy wise.

Happy Endings should’ve stayed another year behind Modern Family. Apartment 23 should’ve been launched in the fall where buzz was high that it was “the best comedy pilot since modern family.” And it could’ve been their modern family sized hit but waited till midseason to debut it and nobody cared by then. Suburgatory should have stayed post Middle where it was thriving. Even how to live… Could have grown into a bigger hit.

I’m beginning to think only one new comedy in a 2 hour block is the max you can debut without having a nightmare. Just ask CBS how their two new comedies are doing on Mondays and Thursdays.

POI will be below 1.6 in may. It’s Vegas now. Not any kind of hit.

You know, why do people root for shows to fail? If you don’t like them, that’s fine, but I don’t see why you come on to a site for discussing television ratings just to bash shows? Just sayin’.

Now with that out of the way:
CBS: NCIS twins strong as usual, and POI’s doing the same numbers as Vegas; I know POI has less pressure, but I’m not sure CBS is satisfied.

ABC: S.H.I.E.L.D.’s still doing decent; it’s around Castle and Once levels, and I believe it is the 3rd highest drama for ABC. Correct me if I’m wrong. Goldbergs and Trophy Wife aren’t doing all that strong. I fear what will happen in Spring, unless they miracuously move to Wednesday, which won’t happen as there would have to be a lot of promotion for the new day and times, and Suburgatory did great as a bridge for The Middle and Modern Family, and they’d have to find a way to add in SFN’s extra episodes.

NBC: TBL still strong, while Voice isn’t doing so hot, but it could just be a rough week, and it’s still doing the best for the night.

FOX: Dads and B99 are incredibly stable. Surprised how strong Mindy and New Girl did.

CW: The Originals and Supernatural are doing the same great numbers. Nothing special.

Agent of Shield continues to lose viewers. No surprise that show is horrible. Nice job Originals and Supernatural. Def holding their own.

  • James

Shield costs too much to produce to be pulling in a 2.5 demo. They have to get into the high 2’s or low 3’s.

  • GT

Trophy Wife is dead in the water. The Goldbergs on the other hand deserves a second season.

  • BITG

Trophy Wife at a 1.1 Goldbergs at a 1 5 Back In The Game always at a 1.8 Nice pickups ABC. UR FIRED!

  • jake

ABC is so stupid, Apt 23 was(and still is) my favorite comedy, and they did everything to kill it, suburgatory has a chance of survive if it gets the post Middle spot, and I think they should save Trophy Wife.
At least Fox and CBS are better on keeping their comedies alive.

  • Tony JJ

POI is in no danger of moving to Friday or Sunday. Not now at least. Maybe in 2 seasons but not before. It’s their highest rated 10pm drama (or close behind CSI) plus it is facing the voice right now in a new time slot. CBS has more things to worry about than POI getting a 1.9 against the Voice.

  • Peanuts

Trophy Wife is dead in the water. The Goldbergs on the other hand is a much better show that deserves a second season.

  • Dan

@Justin121 – I agree ABC should have either kept Suburgatory on Wednesdays or not even aired back in the Game, or aired Suburgatory and Super Fun Night Tuesdays and aired The Goldbergs andTrophy Wife at 8 and 8:30. Suburgatory being benched until midseason, is the same waste as CBS benching Mike & Molly and Community being benched as well. All 3 shows that they would be replacing have been axed already. Word of advice to networks, not every comedy is Rules of Engagement, hopefully next season all returning comedies will be on the fall sched. As for LMS and MC, ABC owned MC so renewing it wouldn’t have been too bad, however given the slump between LMS and Dhark Tank, ABC figured it would be unlikely to improve. HTLWYP probably would have been renewed if not for the fact that FOX owned it and not ABC

@CBSViewer – My guess is Vegas was much more expensive and it was expected to do better. Plus NCIS LA was higher rated last year at this time. All of CBS’s dramas were lows last night.

  • Ronak

I bailed on AoS a few eps back thanks to poor writing and acting. Looks like I wasn’t the only one.

B-99 is the best freshman comedy of the season, and arguably the best new show. I love it. Hopefully it keeps gaining an audience.

Darn it. I wanted Person Of Interest to tick up,but at least it held steady with last week’s ratings. Hopefully once The Voice is finish with its season, things will get back to normal, and POI’s demos get back into the 2.0 range, fingers crossed.

  • Steve

ABC should have kept Back In The Game. At least it was getting a 1.7 and only lost 25% of The Middle’s audience.

  • Dan

@Jake – FOX and CBS are better at keeping their comedies alive because they know how to schedule them. While most CBS or FOX comedies preidtcbaly get axed after a season, no comedy on either network has been cancelled after two seasons (With the exception of Gary Unmarried and Breaking In but those were produced by ABC and SONY) When CBS has a series and it gets renewed, they make sure that it stays on the air for 4 full seasons at least to achieve syndication. FOX did that with Til Death, now Raising Hope, and then New Girl. The Mindy Project is owned by NBC but if it happens to be renewed, it will likely be for 2 full seasons. Every comedy that CBS has given a second season and beyond to has been renewed recently The Big Bang Theory, 2 Broke Girls, and Mike & Molly and all either are or will be in syndication.

ABC had 2 good fall 2011 comedies that could have achieved syndication sooner if ABC had properly scheduled them. LMS will get a full fourth season for syndication but Suburgatory’s 13 episode third season puts it in the same boat as Happy Endings and Cougar Town. CT is another show that if not for TBS would have been axed after 3 seasons and 61 episodes.

  • Dan

@Steve – Back in the Game dipped under a 2.0 and then MF spiked back up to 2.2 last week for a repeat. Wed at 8 is one of the least competitive nights on TV. Back in the Game should be doing better.

  • tim_m

The voice definitely took a little bit away from POI the last two weeks but CF is back next week and POI will go back to beating it.
