UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – Nov. 7, 2013 — Summer hit series “Hollywood Game Night” will return to NBC for a special holiday episode on Monday, Dec. 2 (10 p.m. ET/PT), following a two-hour episode of “The Voice.”

Ray Romano, Cheryl Hines, Gavin DeGraw, Rachel Bilson, Andy Roddick and Brooklyn Decker join in on the fun as they Face Off in a series of hilarious party games.

In the series, two contestants are transported from their everyday lives into a once-in-a-lifetime night of fun and celebration as they step beyond the velvet rope and rub shoulders with some of their favorite celebrities and compete for the chance to win up to $25,000.

Additional episodes will debut in 2014 with an exciting roster of more celebrities.

“Hollywood Game Night,” hosted by Emmy Award and Golden Globe winner Jane Lynch, is produced by Hazy Mills Productions (“Grimm,” “Sean Saves the World,” “Hot In Cleveland”), Mission Control Media (Syfy’s “Face Off”) and Universal Television. Sean Hayes, Todd Milliner, Michael Agbabian and Dwight D. Smith are executive producers.

So the blacklist goes off the air the 25th of november? That’s too soon I think!

  • r0ckmypants

@omabin – November 25th is The Blacklist’s 10th episode, a perfectly normal number to air in the fall. It’s also unsurprising since the week of Dec 1 is when NBC is starting to air the rest of its holiday specials (Rockefeller tree lighting, The Sound of Music, etc).

  • joel

Why not? Probably an extra episode sitting on the shelf.

  • Patrick Ausgewahlt

Since the Blacklist has a 22 episode order, and is airing 10 episodes in the fall, they can air 12 episodes in a row in the spring from the first monday after the Olympics to May 12th. Sounds like a good idea. It never has to air without the Voice, but won’t have a huge 17 week hiatus like Revolution.

I like HGN but I wouldn’t exactly call it a “hit”.

  • JoeHamm

    @Patrick Ausgewahlt
    Exactly what I was thinking.

And if they do have a bonus ep of HGN, why not give it your best timeslot, airing out of The Voice (I’m going for 2.7 at the highest)

DVR’s just gonna be choked that night, with a buttload of specials. Doesn’t make it any easier that the Seahawks just have to play one more Monday game this season.

The press release said there would be “additional episodes” in 2014, but won’t they be held until mid-June, after the Stanley Cup Finals end, and again air as a Summer replacement??

To be truthful, I think “Hollywood Game Night” would work best as a Summer replacement and not during the “regular” September-through-May TV season.

  • E

They should have cancelled this and kept CAMP.

  • Rebecca

Awesome – I love this show. It’s on my calendar now.

December 2nd is my girlfriend’s birthday.

While she doesn’t mind “Hollywood Game Night”, she wishes that “Deal Or No Deal” could be brought back instead.
