Do networks just outright lie in press releases these days? The 3 times the 18-49 rating of Scandal is mentioned, it’s a different figure each time (2.8, 3.0 and 2.7)

Funny how Scandal’s season lows used to be last year’s season highs.

Scandal’s success, by today’s standards are high. A third season show performing better in its time slot than its first two seasons, and in a 10pm slot no less. Of course The Blacklist performs very well too, but it has a greater lead-in, plus there is always some freshness about the first season which most shows’ later seasons do not top.

I always feel that the writers only have one season in mind when they have an idea of a show, and sometimes that focus is gone the moment they reach a second season.

@TomKH – You have to ready the specifics to each rating listed for Scandal. The first one you mentioned – 2.8 – I don’t see in this article
The second rating – 3.0 – is Scandal’s rating in the Adults 18-49 demographic on Thursday nights @ 10PM.
The third rating – 2.7 – is Scandal’s total households rating @ 10PM, which is different from demographic ratings.
Long story short: Scandal is doing quite well, thank you.
