Brilliant scene, wasn’t it? I wish more people were watching Elementary. One of those shows that genuinely is far better than the ratings give it credit for.

@rob60990 Too bad total viewership is completely irrelevant. Even if it was, Scandal still a has a better viewership average than Elementary. And you claim Scandal is “off almost a whole ratings point” off its premiere. Last time I checked, Revenge premiered to a 2.3 and just 2 weeks ago, it scored a 1.4, closer to a ratings point off than Scandal. Therefore, you make no sense – especially since you have gone as low as pointing out that “Scandal didn’t win it’s hour in total viewers.” Very low, especially for you.

Don’t get me wrong, I love both Revenge and Scandal equally, but there isn’t much of an argument here – especially when start to point out total viewership.

Unless Fox has a contractual agreement they must honor for another XFactor season I can’t see them bringing the show back next year if ratings don’t significantly improve. The mistake this week ruined the Thursday show. Horrible timing.

Watched a little bit of the Michael J Fox show, and let me say this- it was painful to watch Michael try to act. The show is not remotely funny.

i dont think CW has to cancel Regin or TTP both are really good shows
They could simply send B&B to Friday after Nikita with TCD

Hart of Dixie / Star Crossed
    Regin / Hart of Dixie

    The 100

    Nikita / B&B

ANd then make you decision end of season

I saw the first promo for “The Sound of Music” with Carrie Underwood to be broadcast on Thur. Dec 5. It will probably have so-so ratings because it is on Thursday no matter how good it is because viewers habits are already formed. I doubt CBS and ABC will be in repeats. My guess its ratings would be very respectable if it were on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.

@eelna – I say woo hoo! It is awesome when any CW show wins over the Big 4. I don’t care what show it is because I need the CW itself to remain on the air to watch my shows. @j – yes you are ight. The CW has more chance of being cancelled than either TVD or SPN. The rivalry is pointless. We need to cheer on any CW show that can make the affiliates renew their contracts.

@Robin – Why is there a fight between TVD and SPN fans? Good question. I guess acting like 3 year olds is a great rush. Too bad it is annoying to all the grown ups.

@Truth @joy @NDFan @SPN Fan @Blah @Frito – Congrats. You’ve once again turned a discussion about TV ratings into children hurling insults in the sandbox. Gah! Take this junk to IMDb and leave teh rest of us to intelligent conversation.

@Truth – You have now risen to Rob levels of annoyance. No matter how much you insult others taking you to task, the “truth” remains. You are only here to start wars. That makes you the troll and the nutjob crazy. By the way, I dropped TVD after the first season, so no I am not a TVD fan. But you incorporate all the worst of the SPN fandom and make people actively want to see the show fail. That is not fair to the cast or crew of the show. If I didn’t already know how bad the SPN fandom can be, I would almost think you were purposely trying to sink SPN’s reputation online even further. You would best help the show by explaining why Supernatural is a great show or by shutting the hell up. Either one would be a vast improvement.

@Snowleopard – I am shocked that you are encouraging Truth because you have always been a reasonable poster before. I know that conversation got heated last week, but how is keeping this inane verbal brawling helping anyone?

@Bored Now – Amen. That is exactly why Truth is becoming the new Rob. Purposely trying to pick and then sustain a fight makes the shoaw, fandom, and person look bad.

I think the network ratings have gotten so much more interesting now that the CW actually is a worthy competitor to the other networks. I wonder what this means for ad rates. Is it possible they will be more similar to those of the other broadcast networks next season?

  • Dahne

@Ellie – I only began to watch Elementary this summer because some friends kept pushing me to watch. I was surprised at how much I liked it. I quickly got caught up and now Elementary is one show I never miss. I am sorry the ratings do not reflect how much fun this show can be, but I will continue to enjoy it for as long as it stays on air.

  • Dahne

@Jacob – I think Mark Pedowitz is slowly raising the CW out of the abyss. Not everything is working but I enjoy the risks he’s taking. I doubt the ad rates will be similar next season because it is too soon. However, I do like that the increase is a positive sign for the affiliates. For awhile I was nervous that the whole CW would be cancelled, taking a couple of my favorite shows with it. I agree that ratings discussion is muchmore interesting when the CW is at elast in sight of the playing field, and occasionally on it.

@michael iit is apparent that you have no idea how much a fool you are. Your comments drip with jealousy and a hatred for certain shows that is beyond worthy of being read. You need help and a hobby that will keep your fingers off a keyboard!

You know what, Truth? Amidst all the above twisting of reality and facts you’re so happy to offer, you did get one thing right. Unfortunately for you it was only one thing, but thankfully I can leave all the glaring nonsense unanswered for others to see. It won’t be hard for them.

Just to be clear though, I’m not being a hypocrite in calling you out over your behavior in these discussions. Quite the opposite. I’d have been quite happy to never have had to say a single word to you, whilst you do this in order to provoke trouble. I say what I believe needs to be said. Nothing more. You troll because you enjoy it, then cover your tracks by crying ‘crazy fan’ at anyone who bites. That’s clear to anyone who reads your comments.

All that said, as I mentioned you are correct in that the one thing I should be doing is ignoring you, so…

If Fox keeps X Factor after this, they’re delusional.

  • Maya

You have probe my point very mature eelna trying to star a fandom war.

  • Andy

Parenthood is holding steady at 1.3,however, that’s about .5 and a million viewers less than last season. The show deserves to be paired with dramas and not after a comedy block. I also think being moved to Thursday’s versus Scandal has hurt the show’s ratings. I like Sean Saves The World, but Thursday’s NBC comedy block is history.

That’s just amazing how TVD beat both X Factor and OUATIW.

Anyone saying The Voice is in trouble needs to re-read the part where it says it was a repeat. The rest of the NBC comedies are done though. At this rate, maybe they should’ve kept Go On or Whitney around.
