via press release:

ABC Friday Prime (8-11pm – 6.2 million and 1.5/5 in AD18-49):  ABC ranked #1 on Friday for the 2nd week in a row with Adults 18-49 (1.5/5 – tied w/CBS), beating NBC by 36% (1.1/4) and Fox by 50% (1.0/3).

·         ABC’s Shark Tank was Friday’s #1 TV show for the 8th consecutive week in Adults 18-49 (2.0/6), tying a season high.    In fact, the ABC unscripted series has delivered TV’s Top 6 Friday telecasts on any network this season with young adults.

·         ABC’s 20/20 was once again Friday’s #1 newsmagazine, outdelivering NBC’s Dateline (8-9pm) in Total Viewers (+7% - 6.0 million vs. 5.6 million), Adults 18-49 (+40% - 1.4/5 vs. 1.0/4) and Adults 25-54 (+19% - 1.9/5 vs. 1.6/5).

Last Man Standing (8-8:30pm – 6.2 million and 1.4/5 in AD18-49):  At 8pm, Last Man Standing held steady week to week in Adults 18-49 to equal its 2nd highest rating this season.

The Neighbors (8:30-9pm –  4.5 million and 1.0/4 in AD18-49):  At 8:30pm, in a cross-over episode with Shark Tank, The Neighbors gained Total Viewers for the 2nd straight week and was up 10% in Adults 18-49, earning best-since-premiere numbers on both counts.

Shark Tank (9-10pm – 7.3 million and 2.0/6 in AD18-49): Building its lead-in by 82% at 9pm in Adults 18-49, ABC’s Shark Tank continued to win its hour by strong double-digit percentages over NBC’s Grimm (+43% - 1.4/5) and CBS’ Hawaii Five-0 (+54% - 1.3/4). Shark Tank was up from last week’s Fast Affiliate number by 1-tenth to match a season high in Adults 18-49.  The show generally goes up 1-tenth each week in the National ratings.

20/20 (10-11pm – 6.0 million and 1.4/5 in AD18-49): ABC’s 20/20 won the 10’clock hour in Adults 18-49 for the 2nd consecutive week, beating CBS Blue Bloods by 8% (1.3/4) and NBC’s Dracula by 40% (1.0/3). 20/20 featured Robin Roberts with the first TV interview of Rutgers basketball coach Mike Rice, after being fired for physically and verbally abusing his players.

    Yey The Neighbors :)

Didn’t the Neighbors get a 1.1 in the 18-49 demo?

  • Bart

It’s only the #1 show in the silly 18-49 demographic – in terms of total viewers, BLUE BLOODS is the #1 show on Friday.

    Such a misleading headline…

The Neighbors is still certain to be cancelled. Malibu Country was cancelled last year with much higher ratings.

Seems that some people have no better reason to come on here than to criticize shows other people like. My, what a life they must lead. They really seem to enjoy it, which makes them nothing more than cyberbullys. Forget them, queenneeuq, I love “The Neighbors”, too, though it’s cultural references might be a little hard for some of the people who post on here to understand. Comments like “certain to be cancelled” and “silly 18-49 demographic” (which is the KEY demographic for advertisers—the other numbers don’t really matter), show what kind of negative people are out there. Perhaps they would be more at home playing for Mike Rice at Rutgers….

Meh, Blue Bloods was 7th place in terms of the measure that the people keeping the shows on care about.

    @Tom K

I’m not criticising the show, I’m merely commenting on the numbers. A 1.1 rating is nothing to be saying “yay” about and is in cancellation territory. Enjoy your show while its still on air mate, but you’re kidding yourself if you actually think that its going to be renewed. Like I said, Malibu Country was cancelled last season with a 1.4 rating average, so The Neighbors has absolutely no chance of renewal.

Secondly, the whole purpose of this site is to analyse ratings and renewals/cancellations. If you can’t handle reading the words “Certain to be Cancelled” then you’re in the wrong place and I suggest you find another website.

Shark Tank is most likely the most profitable show for ABC.
It helps make up for high budget and low rates scripted fare.

I bet ABC is working with producers to AFDC another hour. Either make it a 2 hour program or air another hour another night like Thurs @8.

@Fred Thatd be a good way to kill a show.

To be honest, I don’t even know how has ABC resisted the temptation of making it a 2 hour show.

@Everyone else about MC and TN,

I watch TN and I used to watch MC. But will people stop pretending already that they are performing at different levels? Malibu Country ended the season performing at 65%-70% of ABC’s comedy average, and that is exactly the same range in which The Neighbors is at! Stop using absolute ratings to compare shows already, use the relative ratings!
