'Gold Rush' is Number 1 Program on Cable in Key Demographics on Friday, November 8

Gold Rush #1 IN TOTAL VIEWERS AND KEY DEMOS ON FRIDAY NOV. 8

-Discovery Channel Beats Both NBC and FOX Among Men-

Discovery Channel's Gold Rush was the #1 ad supported program in all of cable on Friday in total viewers P2+ and across key demos. Discovery Channel was the #1 cable network on Friday among Persons and Men 25-54/18-49 delivery, no exclusions.

Gold Rush at 9PM earned a 2.17 HH/1.71 P25-54/2.33 M25-54 rating and delivered an average of 3.12 million total viewers P2+. It was most watched Friday cable program in total viewers P2+. For the third consecutive week, Gold Rush was the #1 ad-supported cable program among Persons, Men and Women 25-54 and Persons and Men 18-49 delivery, no exclusions.  It also beat notable broadcast television programs among Men 25-54 including CBS’ Undercover Boss, Hawaii Five-0 and Blue Bloods, FOX’s Masterchef Junior and Sleepy Hollow, NBC’s Grimm, Dracula and Dateline Friday and ABC’s 20/20, Last Man Standing and The Neighbors.

 

BERING SEA GOLD: UNDER THE ICE at 10 PM on Friday was the #2 cable program, excluding sports, among Persons and Men 25-54 and Men 18-49 delivery. It earned a 1.44 HH/1.16 P25-54 rating and delivered 1.95 million total viewers P2+.

 

The GOLD RUSH pre-show, THE DIRT at 8 PM was the #3 original cable program, excluding sports, among Persons and Men 25-54 and Persons and Men 18-49 delivery. It earned a 1.09 HH/0.80 P25-54 rating and delivered 1.52 million total viewers P2+.

Driven by the compelling characters and magnetic story telling of GOLD RUSH and BERING SEA GOLD: UNDER THE ICE, Discovery Channel out delivered both NBC and FOX among Men 18-49 and Men 25-54, and was the #1 cable network among Persons and Men 25-25 and 18-49, no exclusions.

All-new episodes of GOLD RUSH and BERING SEA GOLD: UNDER THE ICE will air on Friday Nov. 15.
