Low rating for DWTS is what they deserve. Worst season so far. They keep sending home the wrong people.

    Last Monday night for Bones

@Shaw They keep sending home the wrong people

“They” are the crazy fans voting for Bill & Emma. First time a couple gets a perfect 30 from the judges and then get sent home.

To Headlesshorseman, I’m no hater Sleepy Hollow is a great show it deserves the ratings.

Glad Castle went up to it’s a good series even if last nights episode was just fair.

BL is definitely doing great, especially considering the lower Voice. If NBC moves it next season, which I think is likely, it would be stronger than almost any other scripted show.

If they were to put it on Thursday, I could see it going at 9pm. To better set it up for success, I would get rid of the comedies altogether and do something like this:
8pm: The Biggest Loser (which would compete against a low rated X-Factor, but would still almost certainly rate higher than the comedies)
    9pm: The Blacklist
10pm: Parenthood (if it’s renewed, replace it post-Super Bowl)

I would consider BL a likely candidate to follow the Super Bowl next year. NBC could do TV again, but I don’t see that helping the show the same way it did last time. The only issues is that dramas don’t seem to do too well after the Super Bowl. We shall see, but NBC seems to have limited options at this point. It seems like BL could benefit the most of any scripted show on NBC at this point in time.

The Blacklist looks stable. They should move it to Wednesdays or Thursdays @ 9pm next season to anchor those nights. I think the show has found it’s own audience and should get 2.2-2.6 and about 7-8 million viewers without The Voice.

    mondays
    The Voice
    New female skewing drama

    tuesdays
    Community
    Parks & Rec
    The Voice
    Chicago PD

    Wednesdays
    Parenthood
    Chicago Fire
    Law and Order SVU

    Thursdays
The Biggest Loser or NEW Reality show
    The Blacklist
    Revolution

    Fridays
    Dateline
    Grimm
    Hannibal/Crossbones or new genre show

For those that follow The Voice do you agree the new twist was very very smart

The new twist is that there is a 5 minute window now during the show when you can save one of the bottom 3 singers ,,

Great idea since it gives fans of the show a huge reason to watch and not just check the web for the results , plus , it’s a great way to help increase user adoption of Twitter by a prized part of the demo !

    Awesome for SH and Castle

BATB is dead, but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if the CW kept its putrid corpse around long enough to get it into syndication.

I think that DWTS should be shifted to Sunday, and then they can reschedule everything to best fit ONCE and Revenge into weekday slots, as Sunday is doing them no favours. It would also mean that DWTS won’t have to compete with the Voice. Would this work? It seems a waste to let two decent shows fail so miserable and there is a possibility that DWTS could do better on Sundays.

I wonder where NBC would put The Blacklist. NBC should give up on its traditional Thursday Comedy night. But I doubt that NBC would do that. I think NBC will move it at 9:00 on wed to expose a new show at 10:00 on Wed.

“it wouldn’t surprise me at all if the CW kept its [BATB’s] putrid corpse around long enough to get it into syndication.”

I thought that as well, but I have to wonder if the CW recognizes that there’s a point beyond which a program like BATB simply isn’t worth continuing. I can’t imagine that any program’s syndication value necessarily correlates with its ratings. For example, I could see how Hart of Dixie might do well in syndication simply because it has a certain folksy charm. On the other hand, the “rebooted” BATB is actually performing much worse than last season’s failing edition. So, it should be instructive to see if there’s actually a limit to the CW’s seemingly insatiable appetite for syndication revenue.

yes castle is at least at 2.0.It’s the best show on tv.Blacklist is good but for me castle is no 1.

  • Danny

The Blacklist is a good show. it should be on earlier, perhaps on a different day. If so I believe the ratings would go higher. I am surprised at how good the material has been this year for Castle. I thought for sure when Beckett accepted the new job the show would jump the shark this season and I have been pleasantly surprised so far. Castle clearly has one or two more seasons left in its future.

Of course ABC should move DWTS to Sundays in spring (bachelor in the fall) and air Revenge and OUAT on weekdays. I’ve been calling for that for a year now. I think that if they didn’t do it this year, they won’t do it next year, especially with their tuesdays still highly problematic (apart from Shield). People talk about how CBS hates change but I think ABC sucks even more in that area. They are incapable of moving shows around even when it’s no brainer moves. I realize that we tend to want networks to make far more moves than it is recommendable, but with ABC is just frustrating. Why would they let OUAT, Revenge and DWTS all crumble instead of lifting a finger?

  • Helen

Bones still got more viewers than Sleepy Hollow AND it’s in its 9th season. Woo hoo! :)

  • Ronak

Omabin, I believe they cannot reschedule DWTS to the weekend as it conflicts with the judges duties on the UK version of the show.

If they want to make that move for DWTS, they have get new judges.

  • ludotv

Yay Sleepy Hollow! Great ep too so good to see it adjusted up.

More SH criticism: Don’t they need a witch living in modern times to help them defeat the horseman?…

    Stay tuned!

    @eridapo

Thanks for the 25-54 info. I just wish Fox looked at the those numbers as much as the 18-49, like CBS does, because Bones does better.
