- Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports. Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent. Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.) Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast. For more information see Numbers 101 and Numbers 102.

“not, it won’t. please use your eyes to read the red text below the box.”

I read it. And who said that an influence brought ratings up? It could bring them down.

  • heather

HIMYM not all that great this season, I think a lot of people are tuning in because it’s the last season.

  • RayX

    @Avery
it’s TV. even the crappiest show on earth can survived more than 6 season. most well written show, well acted show, some of them never even see a second season at all (some only have have 13 eps, and some have een cancelled after several eps aired).

  • Avery

@skyfi: It had a boost in viewers, but the demo is the same. I dont expect any adjustments.

  • Avery

@RayX: well you better say goodbye because Reign will not be around for long, its a crappy show with crappy ratings. The CW knows that it’ll be another BATB once it moves to another night next year, so its cancellation is looming. 2 seasons tops.

  • joel

DWTS could still KA for ABC on Friday or Sunday nights.

  • Bear1000

Keep holding it steady “Sleepy Hollow”!

  • Maya

DWTS should’ve been moved to Sundays

  • Herb Finn

The bear gonna eat Mike & Molly? That would be some meal!

  • Bay

Fox is more than a mess, the way to treat loyal viewers for 9 years is NOT to ship your 2nd highest rated drama to Friday night. Fox is being turned off on my set now until Friday and will continue to do so.

  • RayX

    @Maya
“Reign is a terrible show, but I guess it has dumbass fans like RayX that think quality tv should be reserved for The History Channel, lol.”

i never said that. what i said was if you want an accurate tv series (based on any history event whatsoever), you should just watch Histroy (but i bet any history that wriiten and what people read or know also not 100% accurate). and i also never said Reign is well written.

  • Sparky

    Love the Blacklist!

  • Macy

I don’t think any Castle fan is worried about Castle this has been its numbers for years. This show has loyal fans so no worry here.

  • ATXCountry

Skyfi, that may be true for other types of programming, but an NFL football game does not bring ratings down.

  • RayX

personally, i don’t really care if any show end after one season or get another season or not. it is what is it. if Reign will end after this season, so be it! don;t put me in a same shoes like BATB fans.

  • AllOfHerTw!st

Go Bones! And the reward for being FOX’s second-highest drama? Exile to Fridays….

Go Sleepy Hollow! I especially enjoyed the scene where Ichy accidentally surfed to an internet p0rn site….

    Nice for The Blacklist.

Castle still as solid as a rock.

Swap Hostages timeslots with The Mentalist, pretty please.

  • Jenna

For a show that started out with a 3.5 rating, I find it pretty sad that some people are ecstatic about a 2.5. I think by seasons end, it will drop to a 2.2-2.3 and the show will be cancelled after its second season.

There was always something so fluky about this show. Like its main character, the annoying Ichabod Crane, this show is living on borrowed time.

  • tvwatcher

Both Sleepy Hollow and The Blacklist were excellent last night! Good to see them holding up so well.

It’s already been proved, I believe, that The Blacklist is no Revolution. It’s now steady.

  • Wright

    Sleepy Hollow :)

  • Dan

Bay, what else did you watch on Fox besides Bones on Monday to Thursday that you won’t be watching now?
