Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for  live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    New girl will bounce back

  • danny94

solid numbers for the goldbergs and Chicago fire, agents of shield isn’t doing well at all, not surprised really given the mediocre quality

  • Klingon69

The Originals, wow! It beat Supernatural in both 18-49 and total viewers! It’s a CW mega hit and probably the networks #2 show this week (or even #1 if TVD falls). Impressive, The CW must be really happy with the show.

  • Matt

What happened to New Girl? Maybe season 4 will be its last.

  • alexia

After seeing Sleepy Hollow stabilize last night I was hoping for the same with SHIELD. With Thor this weekend I also thought that would ensure at least flat ratings. I actually gasped, that’s quite the collapse. The 9:30 hour is 2.1. ABC CANNOT be happy about that, yikes.

I hope it’s adjusted up in the finals but still.

  • Nik

Seems like The Goldbergs has found its core audience. It’s been damn stable the last few weeks.

  • Aaron

It still leads the hour .

Whats with you & Chicago fire anyway……..

  • Ted Craig

    Trophy Wife’s numbers are horrible.

  • Brian

    Good Job CF.

  • Ram510

GOLDBERGS!!!!!! I’m so happy Goldberg is up eventhough Shield us down. I think this proves Goldbergs really has it’s own fan base and ABC can grow this show into a solid performer for them. It’s an excellent show and more people should be watching

  • sue

New Girl is not really that much of a surprise. The 2.0 last week was because it had a BIG episode with the return of Coach. It was heavily promoted, heavily hyped. Now that the excitement over that has calmed down, I expected a drop.

  • Candy

I don’t whose having the worse season, FOX or ABC. Fox is doing awful right now.

  • DougF

I’d wait until the finals to declare that.

  • SVU: Hannibal

Of course Chi Fire will get cancelled…eventually. Like every other show in the history of television. But it won’t be this season.

IDK why I even replied he only posts twice a week, once on Wednesday morn when CF ratings come out and once on Thurs night when AHS ratings come out.

  • Janus

Castiel kicks ass for Supernatural in the ratings.

  • Scandalicious

In happy news this morning: The Originals! Supernatural! Those are some awesome numbers. TO almost beat Dads. That is also a pretty solid number for The Goldbergs after another fall for SHIELD.

The bad news: Trophy Wife! Why are people not watching this show? It is so funny and last night was another great episode. I really hope ABC gives it the post Modern Family slot come midseason. SHIELD. Another fall – when will is stop? I am also disappointed to see Brooklyn Nine-Nine and New Girl down after better performances last week.

    Go The Original!!! :D :D
