Really happy for The Middle :)

  • Jonathan

So, the cancelled BITG came in second in it’s time slot.

    Interesting

  • Jon

Wow those are some truly great ratings for Arrow. Where are the people now that screamed Summer Glau is a show killer lol :-)

  • Dan

Like SVU and Chicago Fire early last season, SVU and Revolution are getting similar ratings now where it’s difficult to determine one will get cancelled over the other.

That’s why for Revolution, fall ratings essentially do not matter.

  • N

Great for Revolution! Finally up after a month of the EXACT same rating, and 1.4 wasn’t sustainable even for NBC. Hopefully the momentum keeps it up next week.

    Revolution won’t die!!!!
Great numbers for Arrow, let’s see if TVD can beat that.
Now Reign needs to get a 0.5 so TTP can be safe for now.

  • Miles R.

    Arrow!

  • Mon

I think TVD can beat 1.2 because whenever I’d think Arrow would be the number 1 show in the CW, TVD would put up a bigger number the next day. But it would be nice to see Arrow at number 1 or tie with TVD this week.

CSI better be up next week since Nick Stokes is back and he has company – his beard!

  • Jami

Great news for Revolution, word of mouth this season a 1.5/4. The show has been Awesome this season.

I don’t watch Arrow, and I know it competes with Revolution in that time slot, Good for Arrow and the CW.

  • chris

    yes for survivor…..after the merge,the ratings get steady….and CM,AWESOME,,,,

  • Steve

Now how can ABC cancel BITG when it’s only behind CBS’s Survivor and beat every other network in the 18-49 demo?

  • Chris_SAdvisor

Revolution manages to tick up 0.1 with flat viewer numbers and everyone proclaims the show is saved? If they had added at least 500K to the viewers then this would have been more meaningful. It does mean that 1.4 @ 5M is apparently the bottom, so it could actually live through season two.

I expect next week to be lower again, but apparently there are 5 million people who think that a man that instantly regenerates from cuts can be knocked out by mere sedatives. This is good news for the CW though. There is a much larger audience they can tap into with most of their shows (TTP, Arrow, etc). It also means that Intelligence easily has a chance.

    Hey Everyone!

Revolution is most likely going to be renewed, Netflix is keeping its ratings strong by liquidating the amount of fans as well as dedicating fans. The midseason break can make the show get much higher views.

  • Steve

@ Jonathan…..you are right, and Back In The Game does not lose 50% of the lead in audience like Super Fun Night does yet ABC continues to keep crap like The Neighbors, Trophy Wife, The Goldbergs and Super Fun Night on the air.

  • Ram510

Nice job for The Middle, Arrow, and Revolution!

Too bad Modern Family didn’t adjust up. It kind of sad to see it starting to show signs of fading

I would think that perhaps Revolution isn’t doing too bad. It’s NBC’s second highest rated non-Voice-led-in drama (I predict Parenthood & Grimm will get a 1.4) and I’m sure NBC knew placing Revolution Wednesday at 8 was a risk but I feel it’s done a fair job holding up so far. At this point I could see NBC giving the show another season.

  • Ram510

    @ Steve

    How is The Goldbergs crap?

  • HeadlessHorseman

I remember reading that BITG’s cancellation didn’t have much to do with ratings. When ABC ordered the 2 extra scripts for SFN and BITG they wanted to see what direction the shows would take if they were given full seasons. Supposedly, ABC didn’t like the creative direction either show would have taken and simply didn’t see futures for BITG or SFN.

While SFN’s audience is largely inflated from the MF lead in, its ratings are higher than BITG, so ABC ordered 4 extra schedule spackle episodes to pave the way for Mixology.

Since neither show is an ABC production, (BITG, 20th Century Fox; SFN, Warner Brothers), ABC went with the higher rated SFN to serve as filler until Mixology is ready. The lower rated BITG will be replaced with Suburgatory when its 13 episodes are finished airing.

If Arrow passes Agents of SHIELD to show that Marvel and DC shows can succeed, I wonder if we will see more interaction from the Avengers on SHIELD…

  • HeadlessHorseman

    @Steve
Neighbors is a sophomore show on a Friday, so it has given some leniency and it has seniority over BITG. SFN is as cancelled as BITG is, but both will finish airing all of their episodes, then disappear. Trophy Wife and The Goldbergs are ABC productions and would generate ABC more of a profit than BITG would, should they be renewed.

Besides, there’s no guarantee that any of the shows you mentioned are coming back next year. In fact, only The Goldbergs has a chance for survival right now and it’s walking on thin ice.

very happy arrow is at 1.2 :) this season has been really good…not really caring if it’s cw’s #1 show as long as it gets this kind of rating…glad cw is just doing so much better this year…ttp not looking good though…hopefully reign will go up tonight…
