Good to see that Days is at least holding on. But then what would you expect when NBC affiliates have moved the soap to the wee hours of the morning or completely dropping it altogether to the CW as in Las Vegas. Days is being the best it can be, it is way better than what is has been compared to the last 5 years. With all that is happening in Salem I would expect the numbers to be higher than what they are. Sure the gay storyline may be hurting the show, but Days is more then Will and Sonny. They took a chance with Will and Sonny hoping to attract the younger, more acceptable viewer, but that did not happen. What else can they do. NBC should look at what ABC did for GH and support the show. Instead of cutting the budget, which is the lowest of all the remaining soaps, it should increase the budget to support the show. Maybe having a special episode in primetime would generate that boost. I know they tried this once before for Another World, and also for Days, which really didn’t help them at all, but maybe it might now. Other than that I will continue to watch the soap with all the excitement and passion for the show that I have had for all these years.

Phelps didn’t hire Tom. There’s no way she’d pick him over one of her friends. I’m hoping she’s being “advised” now that Margo is in charge of the soaps under Angelica.

It was sure nice to see Shane & kimberly back on DAYS today….

I highly doubt that CBS does any of the hiring for Y&R. Since Sony owns the show and only licenses it to CBS I am sure Sony is the one that ultimately hires and fires the actors.

If CBS was in charge of hiring and firing they would have never allowed Eileen Davidson to complete her contract at Days.

I’m sure CBS voices their opinion but Sony is the one that pays the actors. And Steve Kent is either the main guy at Sony or at least over the soaps. He and Jill are rumored to be dating. They are at least very good friends.
