Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Where in the heck is TWD’s ratings?

  • Joseph

In noting this coming week’s “Sunday Night Football” game, I meant November 24th.

    Sorry for the typo.

  • Ray

    Half hours for Revenge?

  • karin

    TGW ‘s series low?

  • milo

    @Joe
“the show’s ratings will fall drastically come spring time”

Maybe they will, maybe they won’t. Nobody knows. And even if they fall, there’s a good chance that other ABC shows keep falling as well.

And what makes you say that Revenge is any more expensive than the other one hour dramas on ABC?

  • BG

Revenge is sooo good this season!!! Hope it continues to rise. It will never have the numbers it had in season 1, but I hope it holds on. I think next season will be the last, but still one of my fave shows.

  • iHeartJoss

Almost Human was okay. For me it’s a ‘can take it or leave it’ kind of show, but I loved Dorian played by Michael Ealy. He stole every scene he was in. “Hey man.” :) If I watch it’ll be just for him.

  • Joseph James-Brown

I understand most of the Almost Human bashing from OUAT and Bones fans. Both shows are mushy so women will hate the sci-fi shows.

Is Twilight actually based on reality?

  • Tad22

The Voice is stupid, put the Blacklist on

  • jp

Very good number for Sunday Night game. Next week should be huge with Broncos vs Pats.

Very good number for Almost Human. Again lets hope FOX treats this show with care just like Sleepy Hollow.

  • Amy

    @Joseph James-Brown Huh? I’m a woman and I like sci-fi shows. Way to generalize there…

  • Owen

The Peter Pan storyline was stretched out by OUAT for too many episodes. They would’ve been better to make it a 3-4 episode story arch since fans of OUAT seem to be bored. Granted they’ve done worse by merging Aladdin and Wonderland in in OUAT version 2.

  • Patrick G

As I have been saying for weeks, this awful Neverland storyline is killing “Once Upon a Time.” Peter Pan is far too evil, and this season has been deadly depressing and dull. Though, I must admit that I was stunned to discover in last night’s episode that Peter Pan is Rumplestiltskin’s Father magically reborn. I didn’t see that twist coming AT ALL, and it was the only great part of this horrid plot so far. I hope it finally comes to an end in 2 weeks and that the series gets back to Storybrooke and The Enchanted Forest.

Glad “Revenge” is ticking up, and nice premiere for “Almost Human” ;)

  • j

Did TWD fall below a 6 or something and AMC is too embarrassed to brag?

  • JED

Awesome news on “Revenge”, truly the most delicious piece of television on these days, back in it’s groove for this season. “Once Upon A Time” lost me a little this season with the Neverland plot, but the finale of it looks interesting and come 2014 I bet we’ll see it be far more interesting to most. “Almost Human” was very good, but it would be better on a Monday (I think that’s it’s normal slot after this special post-foodball premier, which is why it did as well as it did). Let’s fact it, it’s a mix of Robocop/iRobot in a TV show – but will it last? CBS … um, yawn. Football – a bigger yawn. Even AMC jumped the shark for me bringing back a character (“The Governor”) they should have fed to the walkers last season. Again, major kudos to “Revenge” – we need more dramas like that on TV.

  • Aeiouy

Good to learn only abc is unable to broadcast during Midwest storms.

  • Dan

    So here’s a legit question,

Does Revenge return in January for 3 episodes like many people claim or March 9 like intended?

  • Networkman

@Jed, I totally agree that Revenge is very much needed on TV. It is a mature, adult drama that has some soap elements but its plot prevents it from becoming simply about bed hopping as Nashville has become.

I am actually enjoying the Neverland arch on Once Upon a Time this season. The young actor playing Peter Pan is doing an excellent job. I don’t mind that the show’s tone is a bit darker. I was tiring of the characters simply staying in Storybrooke and Regina continually being hated by the others. I love Peter Pan being the villian and seemingly more dark than Regina and Rumpel.

  • Michael

I read that the Mentalist is big overseas…

  • Another Show FOX will screw up

How much you wanna bet Almost Human will be another FOX screw up? If Almost Human is not American Idol or any other lame show, it will be cancelled by FOX.

What is the matter with TV these days? I watch TV to escape reality. Not watch someone else’s “reality” or watch yet another contest show.

J.J Abrams needs to get off network TV (FOX in particular) and go to Netflix. His shows would be accurate in the “ratings” and not subject to FOX’s lame executives.
