Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  • Patrick Ausgewahlt

The Simpsons usually doesn’t go head to head with football at the 8:00 half hour, so that is why it did not go up.
This is the first time since 1999 that The Simpsons and Family Guy aired in the same half hour.

  • jupiter3765

ouat will go up next week almost human was its competition it was similar

  • Katiebug

Not surprised Almost Human dropped so much in the 2nd half hour. I turned the station after 15 mins!

  • THE OLD MAN

No doubt NBC will take the night once finals are in

Football also will help FOX stay at #2 plus the strong premiere of AH but the Simpsons & Family Guy not too good

OUAT hits season low & falls below 2.0 (1.9 makes it dead last in its time slot) as rest of ABC lineup hits 1.5 or lower

TAR 2.0 is best for CBS as THE GOOD WIFE retreats to 1.4 avrg, 60M down to 1.7 & the Mentalist only a 1.3

  • MARTY

romo another huge rating game for nbc

  • DougF

I’d hold off on the optimism of Almost Human

    Half Hours

    Almost Human (series premiere/preview)
    Viewers: 10.02 million (#2), A18-49: 3.4/ 9 (#2)

    Almost Human (series premiere/preview)
    Viewers: 8.17 million (#3), A18-49: 2.8/ 7 (#2)

Dropped 2 million viewers and 0.6 in a half hour. I’m expecting at least another drop-off of 2 million and 0.5-0.6 between the last half hour (2.8 and 8.17m) and tonight. And last night it had the football lead-in, tonight it doesn’t have that.

Would not surprise me if tonight it got a 2.0-2.3 and 6.5 million viewers.

  • CBSviewer

Not bad for The Simpsons since it aired against The Walking Dead and Football.

  • Rachor Samien

    Goodbye TGW and Mentalist.

  • Spike

    YES, Revenge!!
And OUAT deserves those ratings, that episode was so boring.. <_<

  • Alexis

It’s a sad state of affairs when a 1.5 for Revenge is good news, but… I’ll take what I can get. Crossing my fingers that it doesn’t adjust down.

I still think ABC should move it to Thursday at 10pm with GA & Scandal both moving an hour earlier, thus potentially solving two problems at once (Revenge’s decline and the Thursday 8pm death slot).

  • Brian

I bet OUAT will get renewed, but will last only one more season..as for Revenge..it’s Dead and will be cancelled..and should!

  • DougF

    @marty

What? The Cowboys didn’t play last night.

  • Donna

It’s almost like they read Fringe’s last will and testament and bequeathed everything to Sleepy Hollow and Almost Human.

“Sleepy Hollow: you get the Fringe co-creators, the quirky humor, the ongoing mythology, the grossout factor, the quotable lead character, the badass female cop and John Noble. Almost Human: You get the special effects, the Vancouver locations, the cases of the week, the Fringe crew and showrunner, and the serious sci-fi themes.”

  • tv_viewer

That 1.9 includes people who were watching ABC for the storm coverage. I don’t think a huge rating for those local stations (like football) is likely. OUAT might be adjusted down 0.1 in its final rating.

  • MARTY

doug romo was the guy I was responding to lol he had the comments about next weeks game lol

  • Unknow

    OUAT :( :( :(

  • tvwatcher

I had predicted much less for Almost Human, but I am glad it did so well. A really good pilot, much better than Agents of Shield. I would like to see how it compares to AoS in the spring. :)

The Mentalist episode was one of its best ones ever.

  • Clarke

The thing I find shocking is AFHV now has more total viewers than OUAT. I know total views do not matter but I still find it strange.
OUAT has a fantastic cast, creative writers and great storytelling – AFHV on the other hand is a mildly amusing show about people falling/getting hurt.

  • Krystaaal

The numbers don’t lie, OUAT isn’t down because of anything but an overall decline in the show. It’s been slowly dropping for a while now and no other program is to blame, even news coverage.

  • Wade

Thank god for revenge. I don’t care about the others.
