Three Rebroadcasts of “The Crazy Ones” Will Air Back-to-Back-to-Back

CBS is going CRAZY this Thanksgiving with three back-to-back rebroadcasts of the hit comedy THE CRAZY ONES, on Thursday, Nov. 28 to be broadcast at a special time (8:31-10:01 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

THE CRAZY ONES is the season’s #1 new comedy in both adults 18-49 (3.3/9) and adults 25-54 (4.4/11) and wins its time period in viewers (12.03m).

The episodes featured include:

“Breakfast Burrito Club” (8:31-9:01 PM, ET/PT) – While trying to brainstorm ideas for an ad campaign for a breakfast burrito, the gang procrastinates and delves into each other’s personal lives.

“The Spectacular” (9:01-9:31 PM, ET/PT) – When Simon encourages Sydney to take the lead on an ad campaign for Windy City Coffee, disaster ensues. Meanwhile, Zach is jealous when Simon tasks Andrew with taking care of a family of ducklings.

“Bad Dad” (9:31-10:01 PM, ET/PT) – When a client pitch shines a negative light on Simon and Sydney’s father-daughter relationship, Simon is determined to make up for all of Sydney’s bad childhood memories by re-teaching her how to drive. Meanwhile, Andrew’s confidence suffers when Lauren tells him that he is Zach’s suckerfish.

Nice! Maybe this will get a few extra eyeballs on The Crazy Ones! It is a great show!

  • Valentin

Say what?! Crazy Ones kills it!

  • rgxx

Already saw these -I won’t be re-watching them! although the show is losing my interest.

  • Marc

Hope it does bring in more eyeballs!!!!! and solidifys a renewal.

  • Katiebug

Why do this? Those who have already watched, won’t tune in and there is also a lot of original first time programming on that night.

  • JOE

I hope ppl watch…this show is getting better and IMO is the 2nd best comedy of the season (MOM is tops:)

  • CBSviewer

Do you realize Two and a Half Men did not aired a repeat on Thursday yet. On Halloween night it was replaced by TBBT and now The Crazy Ones. Last year, the same thing happened to CSI: NY (replaced by The Good Wife, Undercover Boss and Blue Bloods) and we all know how it ended.

  • AllOfHerTw!st

    That’a nuts.

  • TV Viewer

CBS is doing this because the ratings for TV will almost certainly be low (it’s one of the few scheduled dates in the year when many families get together for a special occasion, and they don’t want to spend it watching a show they can see almost any other week), so CBS is trying to get people to view a program with two big name stars (Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar) that do not come cheap and has not lived up to expectations.

This Thanksgiving (Thursday Nov. 28) could be even worse for ratings, because many stores will be open on the National Holiday, and there could be a lot of people shopping in the malls that evening, instead of buying items the next day (Friday), as they used to do.

Yawn, this show has lost my interest. IMO the best new comedy of the season is ABC’s The Goldbergs. That show is LOL funny unlike TCO.

  • Joseph

If three brand-new episodes had been scheduled, it really would have been something, and highly promotable.

    TV Viewer:

The November sweeps always end the night before Thanksgiving; in fact, I could make an argument that the November sweeps should only last 27 days and end the Tuesday before Thanksgiving because 100 million people travel 100 miles or more over Thanksgiving.

This means that on Thanksgiving, about one out of three Americans are out of the TV markets they usually live in, and viewing patterns are greatly disrupted.

Definitely won’t be watching. The Crazy Ones is painfully boring.
Mom, The Goldbergs & Brooklyn Nine Nine are all better shows.

It doesn’t hurt doing the marathon thing, but isn’t there a special SNF on that night?

  • AllOfHerTw!st

I noticed that ABC is also airing an encore Last Man Standing next Wednesday, amongst the other comedy repeats airing that night.

  • Wanda

I’ll be watching The Crazy Ones is my favorite comedy. I disagree that the show is disappointment people are watching live, online, & DVring thr show. The shows is competing with Grey’s Anamotny for viewers a ten year established show. The Crazy Ones is doing better than The Millers and all the other new comedy’s once everything is factored in. This a strong show of support for CBS.

At first I was excited, then I saw they were re-airing the two weakest episodes. Should’ve been the pilot and more recent episodes. Yeah, they’re more recent but they are also so much stronger and pretty much resolved any of the issues of the earlier episodes.

  • Bob

My heart almost stopped. I thought they were putting on 3 new episodes at first. That would have been a disaster. So glad that they are just using repeats. Even if they tank, who cares on Thanksgiving. I happen to love the show because of SMG and James Wolk. I hope both can finally have a successful series. I know SMG did have one but that has been many years now.
