Look for this weekend’s Denver/New England game (Sunday night, November 24th, on NBC) to become the most-watched TV show thus far of the 2013/2014 season and also the most-watched show of any kind since the last Super Bowl.

It’s a matchup of two quality teams and two quarterbacks whose personal rivalry has, in many respects, defined this era in the NFL.

Look for that game to draw between 30 and 31 million viewers.

Oh, I wonder what these numbers would look like if there was no gambling. No fantasy football, no weekly office pools? How would these numbers look?

  • ARROWFAN

Those gamblers don’t need to watch the game, they could just check for scores later. American Football is the most watched sport in the country, that’s just the way it is.

My wife is in an NFL fantasy league and she doesn’t watch football.
In fact, she usually comes in 2nd or third in her league and doesn’t even know that much about the game.
