CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD serves up a buffet of culinary delights in the annual food-themed broadcast, “Eat, Drink and Be Merry,” to be broadcast Nov. 24, 2013 (9:00 AM, ET) on the CBS Television Network.
From the way the military is trying to improve food for our troops to the growing popularity of meatballs, the CBS SUNDAY MORNING team has gathered a delectable menu of food-related stories.
Correspondent Lee Cowan reports on the efforts by marketers to replace American’s love of fast food, pizza and other tasty, waist-expanding fare, with an appreciation for healthier alternatives. Meanwhile, Erin Moriarty looks at the art of how food is arranged on your plate, and Serena Altschul reports on the trend toward meatballs, macaroons and kale.
In addition, actor Kyle MacLachlan takes Tracy Smith on a tour of his family vineyard, and Martha Teichner profiles celebrated television chef and cookbook author Lidia Bastianich.
