Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast. For more information see Numbers 101and Numbers 102.

  • Douglas from Brazil

When was the last time Modern Family hits a series low?

  • John A

    TTP very steady for CW.

  • Bob

The Middle did ok. I mean a 2.2 is not terrific by any means but it has been relatively steady. I don’t think it is in any danger at least I hope not. Last night’s episode was just ok.

  • Douglas from Brazil

And ABC will claim MF number 1 show for the night of course.

  • jupiter3765

abc is in all this trouble because of the cancelling al my children and one life to live thats whats hurting modern family

  • John A

Good to see Modern Family down. Hope this starts a trend but unlikely.

  • Billy

I wonder what all those people who thought that syndication would boost Modern Family are thinking. The fact remains The Big Bang Theory is the only show in recent memory that exploded higher in the ratings from syndication.

  • Carl

I think TVD will probably still do well – people always tend to say it’s going to drop, but it doesn’t, or not for long.

I’ve heard people saying Arrow is worse this season, or better this season. It seems polarizing. But given the ratings improvement the last few weeks I was surprised at the drop. Is it a Thanksgiving thing?

  • RIP Ripple

@Tessa. Why is everybody always talking negatively about Laurel’s character. I actually think her character brings alot to the table.

  • Kissan

Wow Modern Family fell hard. But that’s understandable cause it’s getting pretty boring. BITG and SFN both should go die somewhere together. Yay for Nashville going up. LOL at X Factor, that shows so corny:) None of the people on that show can sing and everything sounds scripted. Simon Cowell go back to your baby mama and get on American Idol! I wonder why Arrow went down, it was a pretty good episode yesterday. TTP very steady at 0.6 and is holding great retention from Arrow…this week. Is it lead in dependent or no? Revolution went down for their fall finale, seriously? Come on it was a good episode. Does anybody know when Revolution is coming back and when NBC is announcing their midseason schedule?

billy you are forgetting ncis it was close to being canceled then usa started airing it, and the rest is history

  • alexjones

I think the better question for arrow is why was it so high last week? this is regular ratings for arrow, it’s in no danger of being cancelled don’t worry, the cw has other shows which are doing far worse.

  • jupiter3765

    nashville was good last night

  • Franko

It’s actually funny to see that no matter if Arrow goes up or down, The Tomorrow People stay at 0.6. lol

  • Carmen

Looks like Revolution has found its sustainable level of about 1.3- 1.6.

The next question becomes whether NBC feels that that will be acceptable to them for 2 years, since if they renew this time it probably means they will be willing to accept these same ratings for 2 years.

My guess. The probably will renew it and eat the mediocre ratings.

  • Patrick Ausgewahlt

Modern Family tumbled to a 3.2 last spring and then shot back to a 4.2. the very next week. And to the person who said Criminal Minds would be beating Modern Family soon, a few weeks ago Criminal Mnds got a 2.3 and Moden Family had a 3.9 rating. Criminal Minds took a tumble and rebounded, Modern Family will do the same.

  • mando

Don’t pretend to ignore that Revolution will be adjusted up.

  • DrainBamage

Modern Family may be low, but then again it was still the top show of the night by a good margin. If its dieing then its going to be a slow death.

  • Sheila

Sad to see Arrow drop so much. Last night’s episode was amazing! I really hope it adjusts up!!
