They’re getting worster and worster, I tell ya!

Remind me again why Trophy Wife isn’t on after Modern Family?

  • Jon

    YES ARROW!!!

  • Chris_SAdvisor

Calling TTP’s move (+2.5% viewers) significant is a bit of a stretch. At least it did not go down.
Arrow is maintaining SPN numbers, so it is safe (for now).

@AllOfHerTw!st – Making fun of someone who is obviously using English as a secondary language is pretty impressive.

@Jami – Just because one person makes a mistake (AllOfHerTw!st), it does not open the door to do the same yourself. Doing it multiple times in one post just makes you look childish.

At least from a plot perspective, Revolution *cannot* get any worse than what has been done already in season two (mainly episode 1 and 9). Since it only adjusted by +0.02% for the ‘cliffhanger’, the episode that is supposed to bring the audience back, it looks pretty bad.

Arrow should move to CBS…will never get big time numbers on CW….would double that 2.6 million in one week.

  • Chris_SAdvisor

@Robert – Surprised you did not suggest the CW trade Arrow to NBC for Revolution. ;)

  • Networkman

@The Cool Max, I agree with you regarding The Middle. Just because Patricia Heaton won Emmys for Everybody Loves Raymond doesn’t mean she shouldn’t be recognized for hilarious role in The Middle. Heck, Julia Louis Dreyfuss has gotten awards for different shows. And if they are shunning The Middle because it is consider a family show, then how do they explain Modern Family constantly being recognized when it is a family show as well.

Why in the heck is ABC still airing Super Fun Night after Modern Family? And are they really considering putting Mixology on after Modern Family? Why would they do that?

  • Johnny G

I’m so happy for The Middle. I don’t know if it is the horrible Back in the Game or just time, but sucks that Modern Family has dropped. Just give us two episodes of The Middle and Modern Family all season. How hard could that be?

  • Networkman

Once again, I’ll say what most of us are expressing. ABC needs to nurture The Goldbergs. This is a show that has potential. I can see it lasting 5-6 years. After Suburgatory it should be ABC’s next comedy to reach syndication. The network should have moved it to Wednesday at Midseason. And it should remain there along with Suburgatory for an entire year and a half. That night needs stability. Allow viewers to get use to 4 hit comedies on a regular basis.

    8pm The Middle
    8:30pm The Goldbergs
    9pm Modern Family
    9:30pm Suburgatory

This should be the lineup in January 2014 and ABC should keep this lineup until the end of the 2014-2015 season.

I’m no longer certain if Trophy Wife can pull out a renewal. I would pull The Neighbors immediately and place Trophy Wife after Last Man Standing. If it can pull in 1.2-1.4, I would highly consider keeping it on Friday night. I want to see if it can improve on The Neighbors ratings.

The remaining episodes of Super Fun Night along with The Neighbors and Mixology can air during the Summer.

  • Christian

Get real. Trophy Wife pulled a 1.2 a few weeks ago in its regular slot. No way it’s going to get that # on a Friday. And Suburgatory spent half a year after Modern Family and blew it which is why ABC had to move it. Don’t be surprised if it’s canceled by May. Sorry, boo!

  • Bette

Great to see The Middle doing so well. It’s a very funny series and Wednesday
was wonderful seeing Sue Heck’s reaction to her Mother being filmed on the TV News!!!

  • Ultima

Since it only adjusted by +0.02% for the ‘cliffhanger’, the episode that is supposed to bring the audience back, it looks pretty bad.

Why is it pretty bad that the preliminary estimate for Revolution’s audience for the fall finale turned out to be accurate?

  • Midnight

We get it, you’re a Reign fangirl. I wouldn’t be making retention arguments for it over TTP though, since Reign has had as low as 46% retention, getting a 0.6 out of TVD’s 1.3. Furthermore, the fact that TTP held steady even when Arrow was down shows that it is not lead-in dependent. Nice try though. Next you’ll quote how Reign does better in F18-34 as if that’s what matters to the network. This is 2013, not 2007.

  • Mumbo

Like so many other shows on NBC, Revolution’s survival depends on everything else around it failing. However, since it’s NBC, those odds aren’t so bad, really.

Season 1, it was a crap show that deserved to lose viewers the way it did, but Season 2 has just impressed me so much. Can’t remember such a big turnaround quality-wise for a show.

  • skyfi

Arrow was adjusted from 0.94 to 0.95 and everybody dancing? LOL

  • Arrow2

    Arrow was adjusted to 1.01 ( no 0.95 )

  • Ted Craig

I wonder what kind of ratings How to Live with Your Parents would be getting this fall.

  • Jojo

You know what is funny. I remember a few years ago when The Middle was in real danger of being cancelled. It is funny what happens when you give the audience some time to start caring about the characters. It still has the occasional bad episode, but all in all a solid little performer.

  • Dar

Everything I read here about The Tomorrow People is 100% accurate. If the CW wants to keep the show on, and I hope they do as I like the concept, just not the show so much, they should put it on hiatus for a while, totally revamp it, and get rid of the fluffy storylines and give it some depth. It has major potential, but it’s just not going anywhere. Plus, the acting is not great, and that Robbie Amell is the main reason for that.

How the hell does back in the game get canceled, but super fun night and trophy wife are still on the schedule. Don ‘t care for the goldbergs either!!
