via press release:

For the night (8-10pm) The CW outrated NBC in A18-49 (1.0/3), A18-34 (1.0/3), and W18-34 (1.3/4). It’s the first time ever that The CW has outrated NBC’s regular Thursday night lineup in A18-49 in head to head competition.

THE Vampire Diaries again outrated ABC, NBC, and Fox in A18-34 (1.3/5), and outrated both ABC and NBC in A18-49 (1.3/4). It was flat from week to week in both demos.

REIGN outrated NBC in the hour in A18-34 (0.6/2). REIGN was up 7% in total viewers week to week (1.8M), and was flat in A18-34 and A18-49 (0.7/2).

That’s equally great for The CW and horrible for NBC.

  • Victor Hugo

    Go CW!

  • Robin

wow that is amazing for the c-dub they are really having a good year

  • Brandy

    Yay!

  • CrimTV

CW Good Year + NBC Bad Thursdays = CW Win

  • Michael

This has to STING for NBC!

  • AllOfHerTw!st

    Oof!

    Must Not See TV

Poor N.Bored.C thats what u get for only relying on stupid reality shows and football
and trying to kill one of your best show parenthood

  • Patrick Ausgewahlt

NBC and CW both average a 1
    Not a win?

I feel like the irony of your statement is lost on you. Assuming NBC was “trying to kill” Parenthood, they did so by moving it away from one of their “stupid reality shows” that you are complaining about them being too reliant on.

NBC and CW both average a 1
    Not a win?

NBC averaged a 1.0 for the whole night (8-11) but from 8-10 they averaged less than a 1.0, while the CW averaged a 1.0.

    @Patrick Ausgewahlt
It says the CW outrated NBC from 8-10 which they did and since the cw don’t air anything at 10 it is technically a win

  • david

Great for the CW that NBC has a terribly rated Thursday night now. No surprise the CW beet ABC again though, they have been doing that for 3 weeks now at 8 pm.

  • merlin

Its a race to the bottom.

  • milo

If they could find a stronger show for that second hour, they’d have a shot at catching Fox on Thursdays as well.

  • j

Hopefully next week without One Direction there to give a boost, X Factor falls below VD.

“If they could find a stronger show for that second hour, they’d have a shot at catching Fox on Thursdays as well.”

Eh, Fox is like 1.3-1.4. None of the CW’s other shows can do that.

  • Samunto

Hands down to CW! It’s a feat to beat the once mighty NBC-Thursday! And we’re all waiting for an NBC Thursday-comeback!

Hot how TVD (that i don’t watch) didn’t get adjusted down!

  • vegetable

Go The CW! Kick some network ass!

  • davie

    Wow.

What’s crazy is that at one point during the season I have 3 shows that I watch Thursdays at 8: The Vampire Diaries, The Big Bang Theory, and Community. I have to admit, at this point, I fear for the latter, which by no coincedance is most likely to be canceled this season, which simply isn’t October 19th and cannot happen.

Anyway, go TheCW, but I fear for Community. And TBBT is still a beast.
