For the night (8-10pm) The CW outrated NBC in A18-49 (1.0/3), A18-34 (1.0/3), and W18-34 (1.3/4). It’s the first time ever that The CW has outrated NBC’s regular Thursday night lineup in A18-49 in head to head competition.

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES again outrated ABC, NBC, and Fox in A18-34 (1.3/5), and outrated both ABC and NBC in A18-49 (1.3/4). It was flat from week to week in both demos.

REIGN outrated NBC in the hour in A18-34 (0.6/2). REIGN was up 7% in total viewers week to week (1.8M), and was flat in A18-34 and A18-49 (0.7/2).

I feel like this is a combo of CW cultivating good serialized shows, exposure through Netflix and weak competition in Wonderland. Good for them.

    Go Reign!!! Great for CW.

I believe it. What’s good on NBC Thursdays really? What’s good period on NBC except for Jay Leno, and the 1 F1 race that they choose to not air in the midwest last week?

The Olympics for NBC couldn’t come fast enough.

At some point you have to wonder if NBC is even *trying* any more. Are the boardrooms there just filled with executives slouched in their expensive leather chairs who shrug listlessly when even more bad ratings are announced? When the entire network collapses, will they even notice? Or will they just keep sitting there, even after the electricity and water are turned off?

  • AniMatsuri

My, how low NBC has sunk.

  • gregg

well if you take away voice and the soon ending football season, nbc will be back in the hole. I think blacklist will lose 40 percent viewers once the detiorating and boring voice is gone

  • Rich

Not impressed… was more of NBC being really bad then it was CW being really good….

This speaks more about how network tv has regressed because of cable. CW numbers are normal, it’s not like they are pulling in millions of viewers.

    Go CW

NBC needs to get over themselves and cancel all the shows on Thursday. No matter what you think, NBC execs, all of your Thursday shows are TERRIBLE and the ratings prove it. Just get rid of Parks already, the show is not funny. ALL creative execs at NBC should be fired, I don’t know why it’s so hard for NBC brass to make some changes.
Go ahead, keep being “proud” of what you put on, and it will keep coming in LAST.

This Thursday (November 29th), I guarantee that NBC will easily annihilate The CW and all other broadcast networks in overall viewers and all key demographics!

That’s because it will be Thanksgiving Night, and NBC will carry a special “NFL Thanksgiving Night Football” telecast (Baltimore vs. Pittsburgh).

Granted, it’s not the matchup the network hoped it would have been when the season began, but it should still dominate the ratings, especially since most other shows on the broadcast networks (exceptions: An “X Factor U.,S.A.” results show and “Glee” on Fox along with a Lady Gaga special featuring the Muppets on ABC) will be reruns.

I guarantee everyone else is saying “DUH” to your guarantee of NBC easily annihilating The CW on Thursday. Pick a week where there isn’t some obviously inherent imbalance in the programming and then declare who will win.

“all key demographics!” would include women 18-34. Are you really sure a football game is going to be the first choice of that demographic? I’d rather wash the dishes while having a glass or two of wine.

    Also, Thursday is 28 November.

NBC will kill the CW on Thanksgiving Thursday since the CW will show reruns that day.
