NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  • yeah

The CW should be embarrassed by how little they have advertised Nikita, and the cast and crew deserve better than this. The carrie diaries isn’t the same audience really, so you can’t rely on the lead in…

The show is excellent, but I gotta admist, even as a fan, who has seen every episode at some point, I actually forgot the premier was on until 9:30 when I was flipping channels. I had to watch it in full the next day On Demand.
Who premiers a final season on Nov 22nd?@!! Genius CW. *note sarcasm*

  • yeah

BTW, I may get flammed for this.. but just going back and reading some of these comments by people who act so knowledgable about the TV industry and bash a show or shows for their quality and “chances” given to it….. Get off your high horses. Don’t point to advertising done for the first or second season and act like it didn’t have an audience. And don’t act like all that advertising was over the last couple of months, far from it.

Slam the ratings..fine….. don’t bash the quality of the program. The CW execs know how much they yanked Nikita around, both time slots and different days over the years. Last season was almost a “start” + “stop” season the way it aired new episodes.

Burn Notice was a similar situation,(although aired more traditionally, but had some fairly extended breaks) ratings slowly going down (granted on cable tv over the years) But was given a proper send off, bc the writing and cast deserved it. It was an absolutely excellent show.
I believe Nikita falls in a similar category. Also, it’ll get syndication at some point as well, even without the traditional number of episodes, its a complete story.
Stop ripping the shows and knock the ratings… sometimes good shows don’t get ratings for various reasons. Its not all cut and dry.

Enough with Bones.. Let it die. Boring. Chore to watch.

  • Mia

LOL I don’t know what your problem is but my name is Mia. I could say the same thing about you, Joanie, Sherri, anna , and all your multiple personalities.
Even Alex said in an article that after all these years his fans are NO young and NO hot. Meaning , old no pretty ladies.
I am not even going to bother answering your lame post. Just one thing, Scott was in a Variety magazine article about the movie, pic of him included. Maybe you should check reputable magazines more instead of the National Enquirer.

@Mia Blah Blah Blah, you love to hate Alex, well you might as well get over yourself because he and his partner/wife and family are doing just fine and hopefully so far out of your reach that even your vile words won’t reach them. Seems your love has turned to hate and because of this you are turning into a dangerous Stalker. I hope CBS monitors this sight so they can keep you and your multiple personalities away from Alex. Every time you bash Alex and H50 just remember there are people who will disagree, not because of any personal gain but just for the love of the show. To quote Doctor Who, they are Defended :)

Where do you think are, Congress?

Did it not occur to you that at least some of the posters here might work in the industry, and that the rest are smart enough to read and educate themselves on how the industry works? Since when is willful ignorance a virtue?

Oh, please. Burn Notice’s ratings in its last season were decent. It probably could have got a renewal. The producers just got tired and it got expensive. Plus, it made over forty more episodes than Nikita before it ended.

The big difference between Burn Notice and Nikita is that Burn Notice was a success for its network and Nikita wasn’t. And it’s entirely within the realm of common sense to wonder if that was at least partly down to a difference in quality.

As for the promotion issue, your claim has been disproved many times. Nikita got a ton of promotion and still lost half of its audience its first season. It’s just stan-crazy to expect a network to throw good money after bad.

Folks, I don’t think Mia is Lucia.

which interview with Alex do you mean?

I read the Variety article. Not very informative, only the confirmation about when they start with the Entourage movie. And indeed no precise confirmation about Scott taking part in it, though I’m pretty sure he will be there because of the picture added to the article. A photoshopped one, but I think they tried to get all of those taking part in the movie in one picture. Because of his minor role in the series I don’t think his part will be that big, so he probably will be gone for another one or two H50 episodes, not longer (if they arrange it cleverly).

Could you please back off a bit? Not nice to bash a show because you don’t really like it and probably only watch it (if at all) because Scott is a part of it, but it’s even worse to bash an actor – let alone his fans.

  • yeah

@thesnowleotard…yes, leotard…… Keep up the pious attitude…It makes me Laugh.
I love that without naming you, you reply directly @ me, when I tell “people” to get off their high horses blasting the show’s quality. Way to walk right into it.

Burn notice was a superior show, with more seasons, never said it wasn’t, and it was vastly more successful. Its final season was pretty great, with better than expected ratings, which I was happy to see again as someone who saw the entire series and was a big fan.

If the CW dubbed Nikita as much of a failure as you do and as poor quality…. then why even give it 3.5 seasons?
And like my original comment, if I literally forgot the premier was on…with a Nov 22 9pm Friday premier, and very little advertising for the final season, its not surprising others didn’t find it either.

Yes Lucia=Mia=Sam=Ma=Randy etc (and those are just a few of her sockpuppets HERE alone. There’s a sockpuppet army on every site she terrorizes. She often has them talk to each other too and of course agree with each other (her).

Lucia as Mia is referencing Alex’s InStyle interview from a few years ago. She can’t seem to recover. He jokingly said most of his fans are older and where are all the young pretty ones. Stalker Lucia took particular offense to this since she herself is very long in the tooth and had been entertaining her fantasies that if she followed him around LA enough, he’d notice her, they’d fall in love and run off together. LOL! So now it’s payback time from this “scorned woman”. Anyway, his fan base skews MUCH younger now than it did when most of it consisted of Moonlight fans. One glance on Twitter, tumblr, Facebook etc. at all the fan pics he always graciously poses for is an indication of that. But then he does have the senior set hangers on like the deluded Lucia.

    Great going, “Blue Bloods”!
Although the pessimists discount total audience numbers (due to the importance of the 18-49 demos), I’m a happy camper seeing that it was, yet again, watched by more people than any other show Friday night.

By moving Bones to Friday, FOX is going to ensure that it gets cancel. I know right now the ratings is up but it’s not going to last long.
