NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Despite being slightly lower rated than a Grimm/Dracula pairing, which would have gotten around a 1.2 rating in the same two hours, the JFK special was a lot cheaper than airing two originals and made sense to air on that day. It was a great news special. I watched half the Undercover Boss clip show, The Neighbors, and then the JFK special.

I thought there was a chance Bones and Raising Hope would go up once they had settle in their new timeslots. That said, that’s still not good enough for Raising Hope. Enlisted has to air at 9pm to stand a chance.

Bones is literally foxs most stable show those are excellent Friday numbers for the show. Hawaii 50 has turned into a Friday popcorn hit.

Nikita is the only show on The Cw that should attract to more adults.
    Pathetic rating and for TCD
They will be adjusted down in viewers
The cw should cancel it’s entires monday
    And Friday lineup

  • chloe

These ratings are disgusting for LMS abc should banish tgif next year

Estimates are showing that Catching Fire (140M) may not do as well as Hunger Games did on opening weekend

  • Alex

Nikita recieved very very little promotion so obviously it was gonna do poorly lol. The only promotion it really got was a short clip they put out online.

  • Kissan

TCD is holding dearly of that 0.3. It never wants to let go huh? Bones is back to healthy Friday numbers and even though Raising Hope is still below a 1.0 it went up. Bones tied X Factor Thursday and B99 and beat Dads, TMP and Glee:)

    Go H50!

How did nikita get 730k viewers when neither half hour (671k/703k) reached that?

According to my data, the halves for Nikita are as follows:

  • Satanos

America’s Next Top Model pulls in more than double the numbers Nikita does in that same time slot. The overzealous fanboys should try to digest that before beating their chests at other shows.

  • Pup

Nice, Bones fans finding their show again and it would be even nicer if Fox would promote the show …hint, hint, hint.

  • Marcelo

Who cares about the ratings? We got three full seasons and now we’re getting a closure lol

  • ethan

Low ratings dont change the fact that Nikita is the best show on the CW and one of the best om TV

To be honest! No one cares about the ratings for Nikita anymore! All the fans are grateful that the CW gave them a proper ending. Most shows that have low ratings don’t ever get a proper ending. I have been a Nikita fan from the beginning an i have to say that its one of the best shows on TV! I think its CW’s fault for not promoting the show properly; they mostly promote the highest rated shows ob their network like TVD and Arrow! Last couple of says they have been posting so many promotional video….If only they did this sooner. By throwing Nikita on Friday night slots (9PM) shows how much CW doesn’t care about the show. It never got the promotion it deserved. Its also they holiday season so not many people will be watching. Im a fan for the UK , i think there are more fans internationally than in USA! Wrong network, Wrong schedule, Not much promotion: this is why i think they suffered in rating. Anyway last night was by far the best episode i have watched. i can watch in peace now not worrying about the ratings. Thanks to all who tuned in and to all them people who are saying Nikita sucks, mabey watch the show first then comment weather it sucks or not. Ratings dont mean anything anymore for Nikita! :)

A moment of silence for NBC’s Thursday line-up, which was technically outrated this week by NBC’s Friday line-up. And not even the regular programming. Dateline and a JFK special.

  • Bones fan

Watched bones for the first time last night and thought it was really good. Happy to see it won its time slot. Wonder how bones would do after X factor and Glee in its place on Fridays.

  • Satanos

You’re kidding, right? They literally swamped their other shows with promos for yesterday’s episode for two weeks now.

What’s next, are you going to try rationalizing it by blaming Catching Fire?

  • thesnowleopard

Urgh at Nikita’s 0.2 but not terribly surprising. Premieres of shows usually match what they were getting the previous spring and we already know Nikita tanked at 9pm.

And no, Nikita fans, Nikita did not “deserve” more viewers. That’s not how television works. If it had caught on with a solid audience, it wouldn’t have lost half of them in its first season.

That would be like me saying that they should have kept Zero Hour or Cult on just because I happened to like those shows, rather than being grateful I got to see them on summer burnoff. Bad ratings+no place on the schedule for an underperformer=a canceled show. TV is a business.

Yeah, it looks as though the CW made the right call, at least in terms of not giving Nikita a full season. Doesn’t look as though it was the right call to keep it around this long, though. I’m not sure Hellcats would have done any better, but gambling that Nikita would win back some demo, or at least stabilize, after its season one crash turned out to be a bad bet.

  • Last Words

So. Almost Human up to 0.3 on the last episode of Bones on Monday(plus I’m guessing a notable DVR bump we’ll hear about later) and Bones now +0.2 on Masterchef Jr. Fox posted gains in both nights. Time will tell on Almost Human, but even if it plateaus at a 2.0 and Bones stabilizes at around a 1.5 on Fridays, it’s a good move. Friday’s are stronger and AH is almost certainly going to get more young men.

Of course, Bones was up against a clip show of Undercover Boss, but not sure that will change things more than a 0.1 or so. There are benefits to having no competition, you know.
