too bad the human baby skit was pretty good

I wouldn’t expect Josh to draw Lady Gaga numbers but he did really well. I enjoyed the whole show. He did much better than some high profile guests that you could tell couldn’t get thru a skit w/o obviously reading the cue cards to the point it was distracting.

    Congrats Josh.

How are season low ratings “average?”

  • Bradley

The 80’s/I Just Want To Use Your Love skit was brilliant!

  • Carl

What do you mean? The only uses of the word are talking about the ratings averages for the night. No one said the ratings were average compared to other weeks.

  • Justin

Good cause the episode was BAD.

Watched SNL for the first time in a few years. Can’t believe how awful this show has gotten.

  • Daw Johnson

Actually, that’s exactly what they said.

The headline was originally “SNL w/ host Josh Hutcherson and musical guest HAIM delivers AVERAGE ratings.”

TVBTN changed it, obviously agreeing that it was silly to call season low ratings average, but you can see a remnant of the original title. Look at the URL – it still says “delivers average ratings.”

never heard of him or the musical guest, not that that matters. SNL just wasn’t good in general last night.

if a new Hunger Games wasn’t in the makings he would never have been the host. reviews I read of the first movie weren’t that good and pre-screen of the new one I hear are worse, plus too long.

    but I’m old ……… g

SNL should have been cancelled in ’87 after Robert Downey, Jr. joined the show.

  • Cosmos

Sorry, guys, a correction: Robert Downey, Jr. was a member of the disastrous ’85-’86 cast.

Why shouldn’t this Josh Hutcherson be a big draw? He looks like the guy from Twilight.

Still have to compliment Lorne Michaels, though, on giving viewers a show you can get stoned to, even nowadays a rarity considering all the hyped-up left-field cable programming from Mike Judge clones.
