Note: In a number of markets (including Miami, Tampa, and the entire states of Tennessee, Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota), CBS prime programming was delayed by either 10 or 17 minutes.  Ratings for CBS are tentative and subject to change.

Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

“But it took The Good Wife’s almost five seasons to get to the 1.3 range. Revenge was there in its third season.”

The Good Wife has already hit a 1.2.

Revenge Revenge Revenge, some of you just can’t stop talking about it. :D

  • CBSviewer

The Mentalist could face cancellation in May or get a final season of 13 ep too.

The Mentalist got a boost because the identity of Red John was finally revealed but this 1.5 is still very low. It’s almost certain to be cancelled since it’s not owned by CBS and they need room for new Shows.

Such an amazing season of Good Wife… yet nobody is watching it…

  • j

So another off night for TWD I presume given the lack of bragging.

  • Zee King

why did AMA hit a 4 year high? only one reason, GAGA!

  • Derrick

They killed Brian on Family guy :-(

My guess is that now that it is out there, Fox is going to rebroadcast that episode.

  • Kaylie

The AMAs were actually really good last night.

  • kb

I haven’t watched family guy in a while. Did Brian really die? Poor Stewie must be devastated.

  • Networkman

CBS should strongly consider having just one edition of Amazing Race next season. I would love for it to share a timeslot with Survivor on Sunday night. Also because The Good Wife is owned by CBS and is having a quality season, I think the network will bring it back simply for a shorten season of 13 episodes. The Mentalist will be cancelled. It finished the Red John story. And now the show will go in a new direction and viewers will be able to see how characters evolved years after for the final 14 episodes.

American Music Awards had a lot of star power, performances from all the top acts of this year; Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga. So the ratings were bound to be huge. I did miss Bruno Mars but he is probably preparing for the Super Bowl.
    My top 3 performances
    1. Jennifer Lopez – She threw a party with her tribute to Celia Cruz.
    2. Ariana Grande – Beautiful song and strong vocals.
    3. Lady Gaga & R. Kelly – Nice theatrical performance

It’s time the Amazing Race was cancelled or time shared with Survivor on Sunday.
Amazing Race is a dead reality show like X Factor.

I didn’t see Family Guy last night since I was watching the AMA’s, but why did they kill off Brian? He had so many adventures with Stewie that made the show worth watching. Then again, I can see a future episode where Stewie rebuilds his time machine and goes back in time to save Brian.

  • joel

Don’t sweat Family Guy. It’s just a cartoon. Anything can happen in a cartoon so I’m sure we havn’t seen the last of you know who.

  • joel

Here’s a hint – unless they’ve done some rewriting, at last report there were a couple of episode titles later in the season with Brian’s name in them.

I don’t know what anyone has against Vinnie anyway… he seems nice enough.

  • Chris_SAdvisor

@j – After this stinker of an episode TWD would be down even more next week if it was not the finale before the mid-season break. We know they typically save most of their A-game for the start and the end of each half, but I suspect the clips being shown of the Gov. at the prison are actually from the very end of the episode. So no actual fighting will take place until the first episode back from break, angering many fans with the obvious bait-and-switch. It is already down 50% in viewers, and still has to find the bottom.

  • mulscu

one reason the AMA’s did so well.people tuned in to see if MILEY SIRES would do something stranger then she has already done.thats all.

Just like some people can’t stop talking about Scandal ;)

    @Zee King

If that were the case, why did her “iHeartRadio Launch Party” special tank on The CW?
