Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast. For more information see Numbers 101 and Numbers 102.

    SH is not a hit show. I think FOX tricked so many people with their PR. It’s losing in demo’s and viewers every single week. How is that meant to be a “hit”?. It will also be off air for 8-9 months until Fall’14. I bet their premiere numbers will be absolutely dreadful by then.

  • John A

    Lol people acting like Bones was doing a 4.0 in that slot. AH isnt doing that bad yet. I guess AH will drop more but wait 1 or 2 more weeks before calling AH a failure. Bones did ok friday last anyway.

  • Refrain

    @Keith

    With respect, you have no idea what you’re talking about. Sleepy Hollow is as safe as safe can be and will get a second season. 4 episodes won’t make any difference to this fact.

    Even with these numbers it’s one of the top performers on the network.

  • MeAndMrsJones

    I guess advertising dollars and these ratings still matter, but I wonder how much of it still decides whether a show gets renewed or not.

  • rainbowtwizzler

    Okay Fox, could you at least air the Larroquette episodes of Almost Human is canceled completely so I don’t have to wait for the WB Vault DVD? It would be the best early holiday present ever.

  • rainbowtwizzler

    *Before it’s canceled completely

    I can’t brain today.

  • Judy912

    I watched CASTLE live last night as I usually do and it was a great episode. Also caught BLACKLIST On Demand this morning and it really kept me enthralled however the extreme violence is just too much for me to take but the storyline is outstanding. Glad NBC had an advance warning at the beginning of the episode so I knew to keep my ‘mute’ button handy. I can see ‘The Blacklist’ earning an EMMY in this year’s award broadcast. After all it’s the extreme violent programs that win the BEST DRAMA category each year. Not that The Blacklist doesn’t deserve it for their storylines and the superb acting of it’s main star. But for my taste I will take CASTLE over ‘The Blacklist’ for enjoyable pure entertainment.

  • Refrain

    I was quite impressed with how The Blacklist ended last night, the show doesn’t pull any punches. Especially Reds reaction to his 2 ‘assistants’ being killed infront of him. The way the Asian lady died was brutal. Quality stuff.

  • Lara

    @Claire @Sarah, yeah, I’ve been watching Bones for almost a decade now, so I’m aware it’s their 9th season. My point is that Almost Human didn’t affect Sleepy Hollow as much as people want to think, because Bones was in the same 18-49 demo, and whatever final viewers Almost Human or Bones delivered to Sleepy Hollow, Sleepy Hollow is losing numbers during the hour. People started watching and then left. That is Sleepy Hollow’s problem, not Bones’ or Almost Human.

  • Cam

    So how does Sleepy Hollow get a 2.2/6 rating share with 5.82 million viewers, but Almost Human gets 1.9/5 with a million more viewers?

  • Pup

    I think it was Fox’s brainstorm to launch a new show on Monday to improve their ratings and perhaps find another drama. From what I can see, Almost Human isn’t doing that and scifi is always iffy. Normally I like scifi but this one feels so retread.

    Sorry, but I don’t get why everyone is piling on Jenna cuz she expresses her opinion. How is that different from what everyone else is doing? smh

  • Sarah

    @Lara

    I was only talking about Almost Human and Bones. Not Sleepy Hollow, too.

  • Russell

    Football only aired from 8-9 on CBS. I don’t see the shows adjusting much.

    Almost Human will be canned. It’s stupid. Sleepy Hollow no longer a hit but will see a second season. It should be moved to Friday at 9:00 pm.

    Voice is down and Blacklist is doing well.

    DWTS and Castle skew old.

  • Lara

    @Sarah, we were just talking about different things, then. :)
    So, are these the final numbers or adjusts are still coming?

  • Refrain

    @Russell
    @Sleepy Hollow no longer a hit but will see a second season. It should be moved to Friday at 9:00 pm.

    But it won’t be moved to Friday because it’s one of the top performing shows on the network, and I’m sure Fox hopes it’ll go on for many more seasons ;)

  • Sammy01

    I personally think Bones and Sleepy Hollow probably shared more of an audience, than Almost Human and Sleepy Hollow does.

    Fox will never find anything to compete with The Voice, Bones did as well as any show for them is going to do in that time slot.

  • Matt M.

    Great for Castle and DWTS! Hopefully DWTS will hit 15 million and a 2.5 for the finale. ABC, once again, by wide margins, the most-watched network on Monday night with 2 most-watched shows of the night! :D

    Unexpected of The Blacklist, definitely has its own audience. Not too far from matching The Voice, either.

  • Refrain

    @Lara
    @Sleepy Hollow is losing numbers during the hour

    A very small amount of viewers judging by the half hours.

  • Lara

    @Refrain, I know. But it is a problem. While a do not think Sleepy Hollow is the spawn of Fox’s PR machine as others say, I do think it is not the huge hit Fox is trying to sell.

    They have a huge problem with Almost Human, though; it’s not a bad show per se, but wrong day and wrong timeslot, IMO.

  • Refrain

    @Lara

    You’re right about Sleepy Hollow not being a hit show, that was never in doubt. But outside of animation the bar is set quite low on the network for what you need to be renewed. Fox has nothing else doing that much better.

    This alone will ensure that Sleepy Hollow will likely be renewed for a third season next year if it continues to pull these numbers.
