NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Definitions:

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    Ooooouch!

Aww I wish Grimm went up but that’s still good!

Very good for ABC with The Grinch and Shrek The Halls. Both repeated very well.

Without Shark Tank, 20/20 fell hard in the demo, but was very steady and high in viewers.

Shark Tank repeated very well, also.

Nikita up in viewers. Probably will hit over 1 million pretty soon.

  • rob60990

While The Grinch and Shrek both did well for a Friday night, how idiotic that they were aired on a Friday when ABC had other places for them.

  • Matt M.

No show on NBC Wednesday or Thursday could hit over 7 million viewers, let alone 5 million viewers. Yet Dateline scored 7.2 million viewers, even above The Biggest Loser and Chicago on NBC Tuesday.

  • THE OLD MAN

Nice to see another Chestnut take the hour–go Grinch!

Didn’t expect Garth Brooks to do so well–go CBS!

  • sevens

Congrats Garth! Always good to see him on television. What a great show.

  • Edward

Really, Matt M? The NBC-NFL game on Thursday didn’t get over 5 million viewers?

    You sure about that, expert?

  • KC

    :( Poor RH
    I love that show!

  • Mark Wilkins

I’m glad Grimm was on because Shark Tank was a repeat and everything else is garbage

  • Dan S

Poor RH airing 2 more burn off episodes on Black Friday scores a measly 0.6. I’m a bit surprised NBC ran a new Grimm last night so not surprised it only got 1.3

  • Chel

Nikita is such serialized show so it’s expected to retain it’s audience or dip. I bet it will see 0.2 all the way to the final episode.

  • David

Raising Hope just isn’t funny anymore. I’m not surprised by the steep decline in viewers.

  • a p garcia

I though Dracula’s episode last night was the best one for this limited run series.

  • a p garcia

I was surprised why CBS decided to stick Garth Brooks on Friday. It would probably get a bigger ratings if it were on some other night and I was thinking of Tuesday or Wednesday.

  • omabin

Grimm did well, it was an odd Friday to air new episodes but I understand why NBC did it anyway, otherwise they would have add 4 new Friday + 2 Preemptions + 1/2 new Fridays, which would be weird.

  • Chrislille2013

Yes “Dracula”‘s episode 5 was fascinating and interesting from the debut to the end.

  • Five

Dracula has definitely found its audience in the 0.9-1.0 range. I just wonder if it’ll be enough for NBC, considering how inexpensive it is for them anyway.
