The Walking Dead has earned its highest ratings ever this season. Does that mean that tonight it will have its highest rated finale too? The season premiere earned a monster 8.2 adults 18-49 rating on October 13. In its second week it fell to a 7.2.  Last week it garnered a 5.7 adults 18-49 rating. Its previous season finale on March 31 scored a 6.4 adults 18-49 rating. So how will it fare tonight? Those preparing their Fan Excuse Bingo cards in advance will note that tonight many people are traveling home from their Thanksgiving destinations. Make your predictions!

For sure the series won’t hit a series high, but should rise a little with viewers and the 18-49 rating. Since the premiere the show has loss a lot of steam and buzz. Probably with attract about 14 million people, not to sure about the 18-49 rating.

Don’t expect it to exceed it’s high of 8.2. Predicting somewhere in between a 6.5-7.0

    Final Predictions…

The Walking Dead: 6.8 / 12.5 million viewers
The Talking Dead: 2.0 / 4.0 million viewers

The Good Wife: 1.5 / 9.5 million viewers
    The Mentalist: 1.4 / 9.0 million viewers

    Once Upon A Time: 2.1 / 7.0 million viewers
Christmas In Conway: 1.3 /4.5 million viewers

It didn’t spike for the mideason finale last year (the premiere was higher rated than the midseason finale) so I expect the same this year. Just a bit better than last week’s episode. A 6.0 or a bit better. Still a monster.

No prediction poll for Once Upon A Time?

  • NBC Fan

    Walking Dead-6.3

  • Dan S

I voted 7.7-7.9 but doubt it will go any higher.

  • Bored Now

I went 6.8-7.0, although I’m expecting a little lower. As much as I’ve enjoyed the Governor episodes myself, I do know that they turned a good few people off, so that might influence how things go this week. Hope not but we’ll see.

  • Danimals

Based on the past, the show usually hit highs during season premier, midseason premier, and season finale. So I doubt it will hit highs to night.

  • Meanie

I’m going to go with a 7.5 demographic.

The show had been declining in ratings but it always pickup during premier and finale. I think the show has been losing steam with a lot of the fans(I admit I haven’t been checking for TWD like I have before)but they will return to see the mid season finale. I think demo was 7.5 but I don’t see it beating it’s 16 million premier viewers.

    Around 6.8/9.
It’s not a great cliffhanger and the grandfather has a important roll, but he is so boring, he doesn’t fight or do something special. So I don’t expect a great episode.

    Tonight ratings:

The Walking Dead: 7.8 (Hope for 8.0+)

    Bob’s Burgers: 2.0
    American Dad: 1.9

    The Amazing Race: 2.0
    The Good Wife: 1.4
    The Mentalist: 1.4

    Once Upon a Time: 1.9

I think it will jump a rating point. 6.7 it is then.

  • Feedback

    7.1-7.3. I’m 100% sure of it, I won’t even call it a prediction, I’ll call it foresight.

  • Ekras

ROFL – You people make the same predictions every time. I’m putting “greater than 8.2″ since this show has CONSISTENTLY beat it’s previous high on every finale and opening since season 1.

  • Babar Suhail

    6.2 to 6.4

  • James B

The show has been getting boring I predict a rating between 5.8 and 6

  • Ramon

Go to wikipedia’s walking dead page and look at the ratings graph near the bottom. History says that the midseason finale will only be slightly higher than the previous episode. I’m predicting about 6.0 rating.

I’d say a 6.8 for the finale tonight, with a jump back into the mid 7’s when the show returns in February. You know, provided the episode tonight doesn’t put me to sleep like the previous 2 weeks have, LOL.
