In addition, Telemundo.com will feature several interactive innovations that will allow users to enjoy exclusive broadband-only prior to the television premiere. Produced by Telemundo Studios and filmed by Argos Television, “El Señor de los Cielos” is one of the network’s most ambitious productions to date.  The series tells the story of Aurelio Casillas, a leading Mexican drug lord who is presumed dead after an attempt at plastic surgery to change his face but is rumored to be alive.

The first season of “El Señor de los Cielos” was one of the most successful series in the history of Telemundo.  The original broadcast reached a total of 14.7 million viewers and broke audience records at 10 pm beating a number of networks, regardless of language.  Online, “El Señor de los Cielos” on Telemundo.com was viewed by 3.3 million users, generating more than 35 million page views while the show aired.

Inspired by true facts, the second season of “El Señor de los Cielos" will once again recreate the late 1990s on location at real Mexican ranches and haciendas.  As in the first season, the series will boast cutting-edge special effects to reenact shootouts, explosions and thrilling action sequences.
