The Blacklist October 28

The Blacklist will return from hiatus Monday, January 13 and will air three episodes without a Voice lead-in until another small hiatus during the Winter Olympics (which begin Friday, February 7). The Blacklist will then resume again on February 24.

well here’s the test… hoping for a mid 2 but those leadins are awful.

  • steve

Hopefully a mid 2 but its the right call to air some in jan IMO

I honestly find it hard to believe that there is all that much of a crossover audience for the two shows anyway, certainly not all that many people that only watch The Blacklist because it follows The Voice. We might see a slight decline but my guess would be that The Blacklist can hold its own without a singing competition to support it.

From what I have been able to tell, looks like NBC is going to air American Ninja Warrior at least on January 13th.

I think The Blacklist may slip a little in ratings but the show has a strong DVR number,so nothing below a 2.0;The Voice and TB don’t share the same audience.

CrimeDawg: yep and Hollywood Game Night the other 2 nights.

It’ll be fine. It only lost 4 tenths from the Voice last week. I predict 2.4-2.6 for those 3 weeks.

  • David

It’s held on to a 3.0 three weeks longer than Revolution did last year, so I have faith it won’t totally crash without The Voice.

  • Eric McInnis

While I do see a slip, I’m not worried. If it is above at least a 2.0 I’ll be happy. Though I’m curious to see the rest of the midseason schedule for NBC will be.

  • ToXiX

I think it’ll be in the 2.2-2.5 region

  • Derek

February 23 is a Sunday… if my calendar is correct. I’m assuming that its a typo and not a schedule change? lol

  • J.G.

Is it confirmed yet if The Voice will also be returning on 2/23?

  • j

    Let’s go mid-2s.

  • tvwatcher

I am just happy that there will be some episodes in January. Whatever tonight’s mid-season finale is, it’s great that there will some episodes next month.

    Derek, fixed. thanks!

NBC is testing Black List to see if it is a real hit.
It should be fine, it’ll probably get mid 2s probably, which is still pretty sweet for NBC. It has been really steady on the 3s even when The Voice went down from the 4s, so I think it’ll be steady

    Blacklist is for for morons.

    @World Picker

    “Blacklist is for for morons.”

Either you think that The Blacklist is for ‘four’ morons and don’t know how to spell ‘four’, or you can’t type out a four word sentence without accidentally duplicating a word.

    Either way, irony!

@World Picker before disparaging other people for what they watch, you may want to check check your your comments :P

It looks like NBC is testing The Blacklist to see if it’s an actual hit and can stand on it’s own. I’m happy for them taking the risk. I can see it hitting around a 2.4-2.7 without The Voice. It’s also hit ten million viewers constantly every week and is one of the biggest players in DVR history, it’ll be fine. I was on youtube this weekend looking up One Direction videos (don’t judge) and I kept seeing advertisements for The Blacklist saying it’s the number one new show this season. It looks like NBC really wants people to see it.
