NEW YORK (December 3, 2013) – Tonight Al Jazeera America will air an exclusive English interview with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif. This is the first time Zarif gives an English language interview to discuss Iran’s nuclear deal.
The one-on-one interview with Al Jazeera English correspondent Hashem Ahelbarra will air during Al Jazeera America’s prime time news. The sit down will focus on the current nuclear sanctions against Iran, which Zarif states “have utterly failed.” Zarif goes on to claim that Western governments are taking advantage of Iran and that Iran “will not compromise on the basic rights of the Iranian people.”
