It would be un-American to watch any TV on Thanksgiving day other than NFL football.

  • Carmen

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a comedy be as strong in it’s 6th season as TBBT is in long time. 3.3 for a rerun.

  • loud mouth

I think its funny that everything the whole night beat Glee in ratings and viewers except a older movie ran on the CW. How is Fox going to excuse that when even reruns are beating it?

  • CBSviewer

The Crazy Ones repeated well !

  • Carmen

Yes, all things considered the Crazy Ones doing that well with reruns is a good sign.

  • Nathaniel

Glad The Crazy Ones stayed so high. Thought it would be adjusted down more. Really good numbers for 3 reruns in a row on Thanksgiving. :)

  • Happy Endings Fan

Yes… repeated so well of a Big Bang 3.3..!

  • alexia

HUGE rating for football, think that’s up from last year. Ravens/Steelers always delivers even when both teams are mediocre.

  • rev

to people who make excuses like fox expected the low rating, did fox expect the lowest in demo and viewers of the night, beaten all by rerun?

  • Zee King

i knew gaga would beat glee when the final numbers came in. Abc came second which is not bad at all, they beat fox!

  • Ultima

HUGE rating for football, think that’s up from last year.

It was down from a 7.2 last year and well below the season average for Sunday Night Football, so I wouldn’t describe it as a huge rating (especially since the daytime games were around a 10.0).

  • Ultima

It would be un-American to watch any TV on Thanksgiving day other than NFL football.

Don’t forget about that parade, which drew ~25 million viewers! ;)

Gaga puts on a fun show, but my household didn’t think she meshed well with the Muppets. I really wish they’d re-air the old John Denver & the Muppets Christmas special from ages ago…they fit well together and I wish I could find it on dvd. At least I found the soundtrack CD and got it a couple days ago. Loved that show.

  • Networkman

@Rebecca, I would love to see the John Denver & Muppets Christmas special. I have the music from the special on an Album. So you can image how old it is since many of the youth today never heard of a record. So I think the network would be concerned that younger audiences wouldn’t tune in because they have no clue who John Denver is and wouldn’t have any interest.

  • Networkman

Congrats to The Crazy Ones. Its repeats on a Thanksgiving night did better than airings of original episodes of NBC Thursday night comedies.

  • explain

Okay seriously, how in the world is glee planning to last another season with these numbers? if they continue to drop at the rate they have been, even if moving back to tuesdays gives them a boost, they’re seriously going to be looking at under 2 mill viewers before this season’s even over. thinking about season 6 is causing me serious second hand embarrassment, it’s actually painful.

  • Rebecca

True, but it’s too bad. I used to have the record album of the soundtrack and it’s among the ones my dad recorded onto CDs for us recently – but you can imagine it was scratchy from all the times we played the record in the past and so the recording isn’t great. I was thrilled to find the new CD for sale in Target (for $7.99 I think)…and still bummed the show isn’t on dvd. A long time ago I even mailed Jim Henson’s company about it, wondering if they’d ever release it on dvd and this was right before Disney took over the company. They sent me some black and white photos of the Muppets with a thank you letter but had no news about the John Denver special being available any time soon. It would be great if ABC Family could some day show it on one of their “25 days of Christmas” tv days/nights (I don’t have the channel but it would maybe spark the interest of some fans and bring new ones).

I watch the Gaga specials but not the country music holiday specials – but bring on more Muppets without Gaga….CeeLo was good with them; saw him perform with them once. But Gaga and Muppets don’t really fit together. The John Denver special would be more family friendly (Gaga scares my kid, lol).

  • Rebecca

Alright, so I emailed ABC through their website “contact us” link about possibly finding the old John Denver/Muppets special to air some day (why not, they’re linked with Disney and Jim Henson now…air it on cable or put it on dvd or something). Even if nothing comes of it I feel like I “did” something, lol. Some time soon I’ll email them again about moving some of the Tuesday comedies to air with The Middle and MF. Yes, too much time on my hands today (cold and snowy out).
