Oh Man, The Originals down at fall finale :(

  • Tphxitachi

Still great for the originals. Hopefully it gains more viewers over the break and Reign as well.

  • gerry

ouch at originals, but it will be fine. i feel like this time of year is always all over the place because of holiday kerfuffle. i myself did not watch it yesterday because of holiday thingamajigs. its still cw’s strongest new show, no need to worry.

  • Dante

    Pitiful numbers for Chicago Fire.

No competition at all on broadcast television at that hour last night and the show still manages to lose a huge chunk of The Voice lead-in and isn’t able to capitalize on a repeat on CBS and a DOA show on ABC.

  • Timmy G

Booo at The Originals being down. Still good, but I want it to reach a 1.2 at some point!

  • Joe Daniels

Ouch. That was a 9.09% drop for The Originals since the national ratings release.

  • Laura

Geeze Dante it took you long enough to show up!! I figured you would have chimed in hours ago about how horrible Chicago Fire’s ratings are. Did someone from the production pee on your Cheerios or something? Maybe you didn’t get enough hugs as a child…

  • Melanie

Yay for Supernatural. No worries at all for the Originals.

  • feinn

ouch originals not good to be down before hiatus…will be low next year

  • Carl

That’s perfectly fine for The Originals.

Surprised that SPN outrated it, but I guess the 8 PM hour has more competition?

Kudos to SPN for staying at 1.1. I hope they can keep doing some of the right things they’re doing and fix some of the wrong things they’re doing, as I’m not sure how many viewers will be back otherwise.

  • thesnowleopard

Awww, TO lost a tenth. Nice to see SPN hold up, though it did lose some audience.

The 8pm factor is not a given for higher ratings. SPN has more general audience. TO’s been slightly behind it for much of the season so far. But they do seem to be a good pairing and TO has grown a bit from its premiere.

  • Volta

Great for SPN! So nice to see it stick at a 1.1. They’ve been doing excellent this season so far.

  • DougF

“I’m not sure how many viewers will be back otherwise”

    Kind of a dumb statement.

  • Melanie

@Carl what are you talking about w/ SPN? Clearly nothing is ‘wrong’ with what the show is doing overall or the ratings would be declining this year instead of up vs last season. Only a .1 off the season high (premiere) at midseason is not going to suggest to anyone that a ‘course correct’ is needed.

  • Jay

Damn, welcome back Dante! Missed you. I know it is hard to knock NBC’s second highest rated drama, but your effort to criticize is welcome. The best part is you get to do this for years ahead. CF is almost guaranteed to go for a minimum of four seasons. Need to hold on to the main characters.

  • Me

Weird since TO held the same 1.0 rating and total viewers throughout the half hours while SPN dipped @ 9:30. Still, one of the best CW dramas right now. Last night was good.

  • Marc

I thought Dante was banned :( He is back

Chicago Fire doing fantastic! Hopefully it can be succesful launching Chicago PD

I feel like Dads is creeping up week after week that eventually it may get renewed. 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and now 1.4! hmmmmm, can it creep up to a 1.6 by the hiatus!

Sad they are bit@h slapping the goldbergs with it’s timeslot… uggg

  • Marc

@Dante, your lack of understand ratings and how to read them each week really should frustrate yourself. You should get a tutorial….

  • Michael

Go Chicago Fire. This MAY indicate some crossover with the POI audience.

  • Dan S

It always amuses me when well rated shows are trashed. Whether it’s Chicago Fire, The Blacklist or Originals they’re all coming back next season. If you don’t like a certain show keep your crappy opinions to yourself. Venting here just makes you a troll.
