    Fine with me

  • B

Can anyone tell me if it had a satisfying ending?

I stopped watching after the 5th or 6th episode. I like the A plot of the 2 guys trying to cover up their murder, but the B and C plots just seemed totally unrelated, made no sense, and were incredibly boring to watch, and were slowly taking up more airtime per episode, so I had enough.

  • DSC

Odd for AMC. Mad Men and Breaking bad were pulling low numbers in their first seasons, and that didn’t earn them the axe. I didn’t watch this show, so this news doesn’t do nothing for me, except for the fact that, if this starts to become a trend, even on networks where you could reasonably expect otherwise, it can’t be good.

    @ DSC

It’s because of Mad Men and Breaking Bad (and The Walking Dead) that AMC now has higher expectations out of it’s shows.

Yea but BB and MM didn’t have the final season of a highly acclaimed & highly rated 5 season show as its lead in for almost their first entire seasons.

  • PRW

The thing is people liked Mad Men and Breaking Bad. This show was getting thrashed by critics and viewers left in droves. Not to mention those two weren’t getting the benefit of a leadin, this show was getting the best leadin outside of The Walking Dead and pulling nobody in.

  • Lorenzo

Also, Mad Men and Breaking Bad, while low rated, at least received (overwhelming) critical acclaim right out of the gate. Low Winter Sun, on the other hand, was low rated AND critically panned.

What a waste of a lead in of BB… But seriously AMC, I understand Talking Dead is dirt cheap for you (and we all know how AMC loves to be cheap) but put a scripted show after Walking Dead. Talking Dead can move to another night.

Glad I didn’t get started on this loser.

    @ B

Suffice it to say that Low Winter Sun had an ending that wrapped up its main storyline in a contrived manner that was anything but believable. So, I am not sad to see it cancelled.

  • Pants on Fire

No matter…renewed or cancelled I stopped watching after 2 episodes. ..just plain bad.

In other news the world is round. No surprise this turkey got fed to the bear.

  • HeadlessHorseman

The first episode was just plain bad. And from the reviews I read of the episodes after that, it didn’t improve. Not sad to see it go.

  • Phil

Just like Seth Meyers joked when this show premiered, no one really watched.

  • Dan

Wow it’s ironic. I googled Low Winter Sun cancelled for no reason this morning and AMC finally cancels it.

  • JustGrand

First episode was pretty good but then it slid down hill from there. IMO unwatcheable after 3-4 episode.

  • Pirate1303

What took so long- I cancelled it after 2 episodes

  • AJ

Gave up on it after the 3rd episode.
