Live +3 Ratings: Last Thursday's 'The Big Bang Theory' & 'Elementary' Both Add More than 4 Million Viewers

"The Big Bang Theory" AND "Elementary" BOTH ADD MORE THAN FOUR MILLION VIEWERS IN L3 LIFT FROM LAST THURSDAY’S BROADCASTS

 

"The Big Bang Theory" Gains +4.25 Million Viewers While "Elementary"

Adds +4.08 Million

 

The Big Bang Theory and Elementary both notched live plus 3-day lifts of more than four million viewers, according to Nielsen ratings for Thursday, Dec. 6.

 

The Big Bang Theory added +4.25m viewers (19.88m from 15.63m), +2.2 rating points in adults 25-54 (8.4 from 6.2), +1.9 in adults 18-49 (6.7 from 4.8)  live plus 3-day lift from live plus same day.  The Big Bang Theory posted the night's top lift in these measures.

 

Elementary added +4.08m viewers (12.37m from 8.29m), +1.5 rating points in adults 25-54 (4.1 from 2.6) and +1.1 in adults 18-49 (2.9 from 1.8) live plus 3- day lift from live plus same day.  ELEMENTARY posted its second-best live plus 3-day lift (behind the season two premiere on Sept.26).

    I wish all the L+3 ratings would be released. It would be very interesting!

    So, since what advertisers base rates on is C+3 ratings, how closely do those ratings correlate to these L+3 ratings?

    CBS has to try and get better live viewing ratings for Elementary. And that may happen with moving the show to an earlier timeslot. There is no reason why this show wouldn’t be able to garner at least a 2.0 and over 10 million viewers consistently.

    This is a testament to how well the live performance of “The Sound of Music” did. People who tuned in live to SOM had to delay their viewings of these shows.
