UP ACQUIRES PRIOR SEASONS OF HIT SHOW

“Steve Harvey” Premieres on UP with Marathon on Saturday, January 4

 

 

ATLANTA – December 10, 2013 – UP, America’s favorite channel for uplifting entertainment, announced today that it has acquired prior seasons of the hit daytime show “Steve Harvey” from NBCUniversal Television & New Media Distribution.  The show will premiere on UP on Saturday, January 4 with a marathon of episodes from the show’s premiere season before settling into its regular weeknight time slot on Monday, January 6.

 

UP’s “Steve Harvey” acquisition includes exclusive cable rights to both seasons of the ongoing series. UP’s “Steve Harvey” marathon will begin at 3 p.m. EST on Saturday, January 4 and the series will then air on weeknights at 10 p.m. and 1 a.m., and the show will also air on Saturdays.

“Steve Harvey” is a hit daytime show hosted by TV personality, comedian, radio show host and best-selling author, Steve Harvey.  Each weekday, Harvey talks to real people with real issues and brings his funny, fresh, insightful and common sense approach to everyday problems.  Drawing from his varied life experiences, Harvey entertains, informs and inspires, while covering a vast range of relatable topics such as marriage, dating, finance, parenting, work place issues, friendship and the daily dramas people face throughout their lives, all with his unique comedic spin.

 

The show is produced by Endemol USA with Alex Duda, Steve Harvey and Rushion McDonald serving as executive producers.  “Steve Harvey” is produced at WMAQ/NBC 5 studios in Chicago.

    I haven’t seen much of Harvey’s daytime talk show, but there are some subjects that I have seen I wouldn’t classify as “family-friendly”
