Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for  live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  • Douglas from Brazil

Wow,The Voice outperformed for the first time this season.

  • EatMorePez

How about a wager Dante? Put your money where your mouth is. Come April when Chicago Fire is renewed for season 3, you disappear from TVBTN forever. Deal?

  • Cyrax86

    OUAT beat SHIELD!

  • Jacquelyn

Man. If ABC wants to save AOS then it needs to seriously consider doing some major revamping. I’d start by getting rid of half the cast.

  • grey

    @ al

    “Dante do you need help?”

Ha! Do you/we even need to ask? Duh. Yeah, he/she does. LOL.

  • Marc

Holy Smokes is Chicago Fire on Fire! Hot Hot Hot….

And I’m rooting for the goldbergs!

  • CrimTV

I have seen comments elsewhere and I completely agree! ABC need to move AOS to 9pm and the comedies to 8pm, that way they won’t have to compete against New Girl/The Voice which skew the same audience and AoS can compete with a relatively strong female hour with the only other male skewing show against it would be the weaker NCIS: LA.

  • Hel-luhr

Er, NOTHING beat Victoria’s Secret. Not even NCIS or The Voice. It was the top show of the evening, and it will end up beating the vast majority of the shows this week, perhaps Modern Family/BBT as the exception. What is the point of saying Chicago Fire didn’t beat models on a runway lol?

  • N

If you have nothing positive to say then go away. No one needs you here.

  • René

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA what a loser @Dante. Kill yourself please.
So sad to see low ratings for Trophy Wife. Such a great show.

  • Noel

What the heck happened to Shield! Thats too much of a huge drop. And people its not dead until it touches the 1.5. It’s still at 2.0.

  • al

    OUAT beat AOS :)

  • psychic

Huge drop for SHIELD. It had better pick up soon in terms of quality. It’s not a quality show by any means. An 11-year-old could write more complex characters.

  • al

    ABC neeeds some major revamping

  • Samunto

SHIELD is already that low (1.9 at 8:30). This will probably hit around 1.4 midseason.
And it just doesn’t have a loyal/rabid fanbase. What a disappointment of what was supposed to be the biggest hit of the season!

Steady CF should still do well without a Voice lead-in.

  • James

@Jacquelyn – agree completely. Keep Clark Gregg and dump just about every supporting cast member – they are bland and boring.

  • Eve

What the hell happened? Everything is down (LOOK AT THE VOICE!!!!)

  • Ekras

Well that’s what happens when you don’t run a show like SHIELD consecutively – You lose viewers after each break. Unless it drops to a 0.9 consistently it won’t get axed, but this can’t be good news :(

  • Jay

Great for Chicago Fire. Episode last night was amazing. Dante, you KNOW that it will easily get renewed and soon. YTD ratings have been higher for CF than for your “epic” POI. I expect Chicago PD will do well given the writers and the solid cast.

  • al

I like CF but it will drop a little w/o the voice but stil will be respectable #s fo nbc
