DEPORTES TELEMUNDO’S LEON VS. AMERICA SOCCER FINAL REACHED 4.7M TOTAL VIEWERS
MIAMI – December 13, 2013- Deportes Telemundo’s “Fútbol Estelar” broadcast of the anxiously awaited final soccer match between León and América reached a cumulative audience of 4.7 million viewers and 2.7 million adults 18-49 on Thursday, December 12 at 9PM ET, according to Nielsen. As the audience gathered to watch León move closer to its first Mexican title in 21 years by beating defending champion Club America 2-0, the broadcast also averaged 2.8 million total viewers and 1.7 million adults 18-49. Called by internationally acclaimed sportscaster, Andres Cantor alongside Sammy Sadovnik providing analysis and commentary, the match also ranked as the #1 program regardless of language in Los Angeles and San Francisco among adults 18-49 and outperformed Univision in Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco and Denver in the same demo.
